This is as close as you can get to a hole in the wall complete with bars on the windows. Sit down and you will be greeted by the owner (who's name escapes me) who must be the hardest working man in San Jose. He serves all the tables, cleans up, seats people... And the food is really good at a very reasonable price. Don't be put off by the exterior. Go in and enjoy a meal. You won't be disappointed.
