Chavez Supermarket also offers a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including papaya, mangoes, tomatoes, avocados, corn and chili peppers. Additionally, it provides a range of cooked food items that includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tamales and enchiladas. The chain was founded in 1984 by David Chavez and maintains a location in San Jose, Calif.
