After my wonderful long running Miele bit the dust, I decided to give Sunset Sewing a whirl and ended up buying a new one. My almost new Miele started to roar, a clear sign that something serious was wrong, so I brought it in about a week ago. Turns out that I had used the wrong bags and damaged the motor. The owner offered me the option of a new motor or a new vacuum. Hmmmm, there was a price difference and my old one isn't that old...and so it goes. In the end he handed me a box of Miele bags, cut the new filters and installed them for me and wouldn't allow me to pay! I truly didn't understand what was happening. Free expensive bags, really? Who does that? He explained that I should try and put up with the noisy motor and use it for as long as I can. He then assured me that he knew I would be back, and I will. I prefer to shop locally and this is why!

Customer service par excellence! Paul is the "par excellence" I'm talking about. Quick turnaround. Reasonable prices. Refused payment for a job, but I "forced" him to take $20 for his time and effort, and it was worth a lot more. I've been going to SSVC for years, but mostly for sewing machine/table related stuff. I will now make him my go to guy for vacuum issues. Someone I with also went to him and bought a refurbished machine and hasn't had a lick of trouble with it in over 3 years.

Paul is amazing and knows his products and can advise you on what is best for your family and home. Thanks for the years of great service.

Wow! Is this the same place which got all of the one star or less comments? Brought in my vacuum which was not working properly. Got an estimate and then a call a few hours later saying it was fixed. Picked it up the next day and it works better than ever. I don't know if it was Paul or not, but the attendant was pleasant... even cheerful. I would recommended this place for repairs. I had a nice enough time, he did the work promptly, charged what he estimated and I am happy as hell.

I had a problem with my Dyson vacuum cleaner. Paul is the name of the guy who helped me. He was awe.some!...very knowledgeable,efficient, courteous & pleasant. I was very pleased with the service & highly recommend this place.

Very Friendly store with great service.

Paul is very polite, friendly with pleasant smiles. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He came to my car to carry my Kenmore vacuum and fixed it then carried it back to my car. Great service! Great place!

Super Helpful and Knowledgeable. Paul fixed my sewing machine (Which was still under Singer warranty) within the day and even helped me carry it to my car! So lucky I found this great place!

- No such pressure...Well too much; the Salesperson knows when to quit, but also knows how to make a deal... Therefore 4/5

- Call Customer right back the next day if the store had missed their call. [How else did I find out about this store] Also the store lets their customers know ahead of time whether or not their repair item would need addition parts that was not discussed on first encounter. [Keeps old parts as a proof]

- Work done was 110%. Great and Thorough.

- From what I heard from other customers that do what I do [visiting this store weekly/monthly] They talk about how the staff extend their business hours for people who are in dire need to get their item repair and/or etc. Very considerable personality, and very thoughtful. Not many stores, in particular SMALL LOCAL stores does this..Hence this section is name "sacrifice."
