Sunnyside School is a good school, however, I am giving it a very low rating because the principal, Nancy Schlenke does not provide support to her staff when needed. She continues to close her eyes when there is a problem with a student. She apparently does not want to get involved in disciplinary actions when needed. Several families have pulled their kids out of this school because their children were verbally and physically abused by “bullies.” It is a fact that the restrooms located in the arcade outside of the building are where most of the problems arise. Children are molested by the bullies and the yard teachers are not aware that there are some unsavory things happening there. These restrooms should be closely monitored, and, maybe locked at all times. In my opinion, Mrs. Schlenke should be reassigned or retired. She is not a leader nor is she approachable. She is very distant and appears not to be interested in anything that is going on in “her” school.
