Established in 1980, Miller Company has worked consistently to achieve the highest standards in terms of design and finished product. Our staff includes licensed Landscape Architects and LEED accredited professionals. As an office with a long history of landscape contracting in addition to landscape design, we offer a particular capability in translating these conceptual ideas into inspiring, successful spaces. We are particularly proud to be recognized as a leader in the arena of community participation in the design process. Miller Company has worked extensively with public agencies, private developers, non-profit organizations, and community groups to design multi-family Communities, School grounds, Health-Care facilities, and urban Parks. In our extensive work with multi-family community development, we team neighborhood members with our clients and the other professionals involved in the project to create livable, sustainable communities. Our school projects range in scale from individual school sites to citywide district planning, and from pre-school to college campus environments. We have collaborated closely with many neighborhoods in the city of San Francisco to develop small urban parks, community gardens, and enhanced streetscapes. Throughout these projects we have worked to develop environments that meet the requirements expressed by the client and the community and provide an array of communal and intimate spaces designed to enhance the urban social experience. Miller Company endeavors to foster the creation of sustainable landscapes in all of our project work. We make optimum use of materials available on the site and attempt to limit the importation of materials from off-site. We use appropriate construction and native plant materials in service to systems that recycle and nurture the whole environment.
