Provided by YP.comI took a friend out to this restaurant because I purchased a Groupon coupon, Luckily I did because it would have cost us over $35.00 (with tip) for breakfast. My girlfriend put half of her breakfast (french toast) on a small plate (in case she couldn't finish it). The waiter did ask my girlfriend "Can I take your plate away" when she was obviously done with her breakfast. When it came time to give us our bill, he put the bill down and he took the small plate of french toast away without saying a word. My girlfriend said "I think he tossed it". I said "No, I think he is professional enough to just bag it for us". So we waited. He gave us our change and when I asked "did you bag our french toast", he said "No, I tossed it because she didn't say anything".
I'm thinking "you didn't even ask if we wanted to take it home" but yet, he did ask he could take our empty plate away. So I thought that was very unprofessional. It's not like we were at the Ritz Carlton where guest just don't take brown bag it. We didn't make a big thing about it and just walked away. Overall, expensive, portion size is OK, food is OK. The waiter was nice and polite except he should have ask "Would you like a box or can I bag it for you" like most places do. There are better places to eat in S.F like one of my favorite breakfast place is "Home Plate" on Lombard. Try that place!!!
