After getting an estimate to refinish the hardwood oak floors in my classic Mission Hills home, I felt obliged to use this company based on their years in the business. However, when I immediately expressed my concern about a couple of spots that appeared to have a "fish-eye" finish, I was told by the Owner, Chuck, that because I got a great deal, they would not refinish these areas without additional $200-400.00 payment. So, I deducted 50% of the cost of this refinishing by Woodchuck Flooring from my tenant's security deposit, the tenant sued me and Chuck provided (the tenant) a Statement of Facts to the effect that my floors never needed this service and there were NO scratches?!? When I spoke to Chuck directly, his demeanor seemed lackadaisical at best! The LACK OF INTEGRITY by Woodchuck Flooring JUST COST ME $500.00?!?
