My Jetta will now make the road trip to San Francisco!

Took in my car for a break job. Ended up with a 900+ dollar bill. They had the car for a week used up all gass put about 10thou miles on my car and when car was returned i got strong odor of cigaretts ..i dont smoke..would never recomm
end this place

I've taken my Camry to this shop several times. One repair in particular was a biggie, for which I was unprepared. I took the car in for a tune up and to get a belt tightened, and it ended up needing $2500 worth of work. Sean spent a great deal of time talking me through the issues, and explained which parts of the repairs were critical, and which I could put off for a while. I never felt like I was being pushed into a decision I was unprepared for, and I felt like I was getting expert advice from someone who really knows Toyotas (as well as other automobiles) extremely well.

These guys are the BEST!!!! I found them through the car talk site and went to them because of the great reviews from others. Let me say the other reviews were right on the mark. I delt with Jeff the manager who is a very kind, honest, and easy to talk to guy who really knows his stuff. I got my transition fluid changed with no problems and at a great price. He also alerted me to some other work I should consider getting done in the near future (my car has about 150k miles on it). But there was absolutely no pressure from him regarding further repairs. He was simply bringing some things to my attention that my car needs. I know a thing or two about cars, and I take good care of my car so I know that the items he brought to my attention were completely legit. Moreover, they didn't try to sell me on useless crap, like other shops (oil change places mostly) do. For the first time in my life I have found myself a shop and mechanic I can trust!! I would recommend them to my friends and family and would even feel good about sending my wife to them alone. (nothing bad about women, but some Unscrupulous places try to take advantage of people who might not know any better). Jeff is worth his weight in gold and this place is great!!! <<

Often times when I bring my car in to be serviced I feel like I'm getting ripped off and being talked down to, but not here! They were super nice and didn't try to upsell me. This will be the first place I go next time my car decides to crap out on me. Thanks guys!

My daughter recently went to school in San Diego for several years and didn't do maintenance to her 2001 Toyota Corolla as she should especially with her on a tight budget. Finally after goading her into taking the car to get it checked out because "it was running like crap" we took it into Tune Craft where Shawn did a test drive/diagnostic on the car. I would like to thank and let others know the San Diego Tune Craft with Shawn and crew are honest, above board and professional in their dealings and I would give them my highest recommendation to anyone.

I called Tune Craft while calling around looking for a regular vehicle inspection/service to be done on my 2006 4Runner and they were able to get me in the next day. Which was perfect for me. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Shawn and he was more than helpful pointing out all the details of the inspection. He told me that he would have a quote for me about any service that needed to be done by 1pm. I was immediately struck by the professionalism and courtesy of everyone working there. I asked when I could expect my car to be done and he said it would be done by 3 and I could get it then. It was done exactly as promised and I was very happy with my experience there. Shawn and the rest of his guys got themselves a life long customer and I will refer anyone I know to them as well.

I had a very good experience at this center. Rick was very helpful with my car troubles and explained the things that needed to be fixed in a way I can understand. I also felt he didn't want to fix things just to rack up the bill.

About a month ago I was looking for an alternative from the dealership and wanted a second opinion on what could have been some major service for our 2005 Corolla and Rav 4. I am really glad I went here. The service was great and we ended up saving a great deal of money on service our cars really didn't need. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, I really recommend this place. I can see why its AAA approved.

We found Tune Craft through Car Talk after many bad experiences with chain auto stores and are thrilled with the service. Shawn and Paul are great at explaining what should be done and what has to be done. Shawn found my car was burning excess oil, checked the maker's memos, and explained the situation. He regularly tracks the oil level for us and even offered to top off the oil for free! We once found a nail in my tire and the guys at Tune Craft directed me to a place that would repair my tire for free. We always take our cars here for routine maintenance and feel comfortable leaving our cars in such capable hands. These guys aren't in business to rip you off--just offer plain good service.

Great shop. I'd recommend Rick and Shawn's services to friends hands down.

I drove from Salt Lake to San Diego and discovered that I had a vacuum problem. I had a sense that this was the issue. They quickly pegged it down. Their costs were reasonable. The repair was done in a timely manner, even though they were short handed.

My nissan stopped running, I was across the street from this place. AAA showed up, can't get it running. Towed here, long story short. They fixed the problem, starter. A little high on the labor, but hell, they where honest and quick. So all in all we are very satisfied, san diego native.
