Shauna Yuan, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in caring for patients with memory disorders and dementia, including Alzheimers disease, Frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia and Parkinsons dementia.She completed her fellowship at UC San Diego School of Medicine and her residency at UCLA. Dr. Yuan earned her medical degree from Chicago Medical School and is board-certified in neurology and psychiatry.An assistant professor in the UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Yuan is a physician-scientist whose research focuses on Alzheimers disease and neurodegenerative diseases using novel stem cell models. Dr. Yuans research has been published in Nature, JAMA Neurology, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
