San Diego hardware is the oldest family-owned business in San Diego. Founded in 1892, the original store on 5th Avenue in downtown carried traditional hardware of that era, including washboards, wood stoves, ice boxes, sporting goods and Winchester firearms. Four generations later, San Diego Hardware is still owned and operated by members of the original founding family. Gradually, due to a growing reputation for unique and hard-to-find items, San Diego Hardware broke from the past of selling traditional "nuts and bolts" and began dealing exclusively in fine decorative hardware and plumbing. We have become one of the largest and most respected dealers of quality decorative hardware in the country. With a new, expanded showroom in Kearny Mesa, San Diego Hardware can promise you a unique shopping experience that will be both fun and rewarding.
