VERY SATISFIED I took my 2004 Cherokee to my regular shop because of noise when driving. My mechanic told me the noise was coming from the transmission and recommended Rapid. I took my Jeep to the Kearny Mesa shop because it's close to where I work. The guys at Rapid had the repairs done in just a few days at far less cost than what I was quoted at the dealership. So far so good! My jeep runs perfectly again. The guys at Rapid were pros from start to finish. Good Job!!!

Dave and Chad are GREAT!!! Excellent customer service :) I brought my car in and they checked it out for FREE. Dave showed me exactly what they found during the check out; and what they needed to do to next. I called around and checked pricing and Rapid was the best BY FAR. They fixed my car and had it back to me the next day...my car feels like new again - and the pricing was EXCELLENT. I would recommend this place to ANYONE!!! Fair pricing and fixed right the first time!!!

When I lived in the area, I brought my civic here to get checked out. I thought it was going to cost an arm and a leg, but I was surprised to when I saw the bill. $150 less than what another transmissions shop had quoted me for! Awesome!

I took my truck into Rapid less than a year ago already knowing she needed a tranny rebuild. They offered a fair price for rebuilding the existing tranny with a guarantee so we went ahead with it. The transmission worked great for some time and then developed shifting problems. I took it back into them and right away, while I waited, they began to investigate the problem. Long story short; the problem turned out to be chaffed/worn/broken wires in the wiring harness that controls the transmission. I know enough about vehicles to know that this issue probably wasn't caused by them rebuilding the tranny but rather just of old age and being worn. Nonetheless they fixed it for free, the same day, and they had to drop the tranny to do it! Great job on their part!

The service was quick, easy and to the point no one there trying to upsell you the employees were very helpful in explaining what was wrong thank you for the great service that was provided by every one there.

Had 200+k on my tundra, it started shifting funny getting off the freeway-panic time. I was close to la mesa and took it to rapid transmission thinking the cost would be more than the truck was worth but the truck ran good so I had them look at it. Mark the service writer called the next day and said it didn't need an overhaul but a small sensor and he could fix it the same day. Price was a lot less than expected and the truck has been running good since then. Thanks Rapid

Rapid Transmissions is a supporter of the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, and so am I. That was the 1st reason I brought my vehicle to Rapid. Also the fact they have been in business over 40 years in San Diego, so they must be doing something right. They were very polite, and accommodating. They treated me like family and they did a free external inspection of my vehicle. They also did a complete transmission service to include the pan gasket, labor etc. for only $69.95. That is less than I pay for a tank of gas. I highly recommend Rapid! I know nothing about cars and they were honest! Thank you so much.

I had my dodge ram manual transmission rebuilt at Rapid Transmission and have not had any problems. During the whole process I was updated as the project was going and finally completed. Great people to work with.

They provide you with the best service and my tranny is now working fine I recommend this place to all I have already told all my friends about this place.
