too often, you go to a reasonably priced Mediterranean place only to find that the food has been Americanized almost beyond recognition. Not so at Ramses!



Having had the good fortune to sample Turkish, Israeli, and Arab cuisines while traveling, I admit I've become quite the snob when it comes to Mediterranean food--I'm almost always disappointed by the restaurants that attempt this style locally here in California. Yet at Ramses, the true Mediterraneans flavors have been preserved.



The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, with the husband/wife owners adding a personal touch to the cooking and service. Their passion for Mediterranean food has come out in every dish I've tried there. The babaganoush and shawarma were the most authentic I've tasted in any California restaurant.
