Without a doubt AFY is the most talented amazing colorist I have ever had work on my hair. And trust me I'm one of those picky ones lol. I have been with Afy for almost 8 years have followed her from her previous salon and always will. She's very detail oriented and has an eye for color. Her prices are more than reasonable and she's very professional and accommodating. I send all my family and friends to her. Call or text her direct cause she books her own clients. I recently got a horrible color and lopsided cut at a salon near my house. A friend sent me to her stylist to have it fixed. I called Afy right away and she was able to accommodate me the next day. She heard the desperation in my voice. I can't thank my friend enough. Afy did the impossible and fixed the horrible job that I had paid too much for. Not to mention she charges much less than the other place as well. Hope she doesn't mind but she's got a client for life and I will be sending her all my friends and family as well. No joke but her work should be in magazines!

I have been seeing Afy Hernandez for almost 5 years now and will never go elsewhere! She is the best most knowledgeable colorist ever. She does miracles with my hair and all my family and friends. She just did a brazilian smoothing treatment and oh my god I have never had such silky shiny smooth hair and I checked around her prices is lower than anywhere in san diego! She's my girl for life. Oh my god I just found the best colorist in the world! Her name is afy and works at salon pure. The salon is amazing including the front desk staff. But finally a hairstylist that listens. Offers advice without being pushy. My hair has never looked or felt this amazing! She does get booked quickly so I suggest booking in addvance. You won't regret oh and she also does threading. She did my upper lip and brows and it looks fabulous!

I have been with afy for a few years now but for a few months went elsewhere trying to save money. Not only did they ruin my healthy long blond hair afy had worked so hard to maintain but they would raise the price at every appt. I begged afy to take me back and she was kind enough to do so. For a few months now we have been trying to get my hair healthy and let me say it is now long and blonde (not orange) and gorgeous. Not to mention afy has the best prices around. Believe me I have checked! I will never leave her again. She does book her own so call her at 6197088104. She recently moved to a much nicer, cleaner, more professional salon and I will follow her anywhere she goes.

Always come here for my waxing. I like how neat this place is and organized. The girl is really comforting you during the wax so it goes really easy. I like it.

Beautiful salon! With a great positive energy...Had a very nice cut and color here and was very happy, the gals are super friendly...Also discovered their facials are superb(very unexpected for a salon)..The spa side is very peaceful, the doors are sound-proof so you are in a different world once you get in the room...I liked the product they use as well - never heard of it before(its called Danne) but i guess only top spas and salons use it, believe its german..the mask was great - smelled like peanut butter(my favorite:))...nice pressure during massage part...So this was one of the rare experiences of a wonderful facial...

Even though it a salon and it get quite noisy in there but the facial room are all the way in the back and sound-proof so you feel very peaceful in the room, the lights are deemed and you smell aromatherapy. I had Anna for my facial - she is fantastic, so skilled at what she does! Get ready for some serous pampering with her. I took all her advice on what to do with my troubled skin and don't regret it at all. Hope your experience will be as amazing as it was for me.

HANDS DOWN! The best facial experience EVER! And I've had some great facials in my life at the resort and on cruises....The salon is very high energy and positive..Also they use European product line...Anna is very talented and knows a LOT - definitely ask for her if you enjoy good pressure for massage part during facial. She is super nice so you would feel comfortable with her right away:).

Planning to get on a monthly regimen with her for the sake of my skin:)

Salon owner currently has employee, Vanessa Puentes working as an unlicensed "stylist" which charges more than a licensed stylist. A bit disturbing! Not a business I recommend due to their unprofessional way to handle a business!

The Stylist:

- Couldn't hold a conversation with me.

- Didn't listen to instructions.

- And very impatient.



The End Results of the Hair Cut:

- Complete opposite of what I wanted.

- Unmanageable.

- No nice after salon feel in the hair.



I asked for the stylist to cut my hair to flip out and wanted a very choppy cut with noticeable pieces. She ended up cutting it into a bob that flipped under my chin and poofed the back of my hair up and kept going on about how cute it was. I said "yes, it's ok, but what about it flipping out? Could I see a flat iron and try to style it?" the stylist refused and said I could do that at home. Went home and found out that I couldn't do much with it at all. I went back to the salon and they refused to redo it or refund me.
