Greg Heald arrived at my house to review my sprinkler system. I suspected I had a leak near my gazebo and when we entered this area Mr. Heald's first comment was "You have a Leak". Now I have had 2 other irrigation companies and my gardener offer there diagnosis with both irrigation reps stating I was over watering and since area is a low point water accumulated here with lack of sun light it was impossible to dry up. I explained this diagnosis to Mr. Heald and his simple response was "No, you have a leak". He retrieved his shovel and proceeded to dig out the area and showed me a small flow of water seaping from one side of the hole which he followed approx. 8 ft. until it disapeared under the slab for my gazebo. "Well it's under the slab" He said. I thought to myself "Oh great! this will be expensive". I was surprised when he then commented "No problem, I will run a by-pass line around slab and reconnect on opposite side and stop the hemoraging, take about 2 hours". While digging the trench he noticed all the landscape drains in this area and asked why so many, there were 5 drains in a 10 x 10' area. I explained this was the gardeners solution to the problem. Stopped him cold and he looked at me in silence for approx. 20 seconds and said. "I got it! I got it! I will add so many drains in this small area the water will flow thru my drain lines then down the gutter continuously, somehow convince the customer problem is solved while his water usage and bill more than quadruples.Then I will ignore your repeated phone calls. Problem Solved". I had to laugh! He got it right the first time and his 2 hours of work cost less than the 8 hours the gardener charged for his hair brained idea to solve this problem. I'm convinced you are the expert and agree with your slogan "You can find a cheaper price! But, you won't find a better job!". Thanks Again.
