I liked that this company would come out and give me a free estimate. But their estimate was $500 (exactly) for three simple water valve replacements. So I asked a friend if she had any recommendations for plumbers. She did, and I called her plumber who came out the next day, fixed all three of the valves in under and hour and charged me $120. When he called me with the estimate I had to ask, "Wait, you want $120 for everything?" Yep. If the estimate seems too high, ask someone you know if they have a good recommendation for a tradesman
