If you are looking for a sunroof or have your own sunroof repaired or looked at you may want to try another place. I went into that business on March 22, 2011 because I patched my sunroof when it leaked but wanted it now done by a professional. Well, I thought they were professionals. I initially told them upon arriving what I was looking for and was shopping prices. I had an appointment with one of their technicians. The technician went to my vehicle, ripped up a corner of my patch I had on my vehicle, and then asked me if my sunroof was factory or if I had it placed there myself. I told him it came with the vehicle. He then informed me (after making sure I had my patch ripped up) that it would now cost this much per hour to do this and that. Well, I feel that question should have been asked initially and not after ripping up a corner of a pretty good patch. I called somebody who was supposed to be the Vice President, explained what the technician did and was told that it was too bad. This is poor business practices doing what they did and due to the attitude of the Vice President and refusal to fix what they damaged I feel this may be their standard operating procedure to have customers now having to get the work done since any patch integrity is now gone. I would rather give this place no stars but not sure if I can so I rated it as a one star. IMHO look for another place to get your sunroof installed, fixed, maintained, or anything else you may want done.....Follow up: ASC sux. I placed my own home made patch on my vehicle after these folks ripped up my previous sunroof patch leaving it exposed. I only had to redo it once since then. I do not open my sunroof so I can use my patch. If you do not open your sunroof or will not for awhile then use all weather tape and elmers glue for your gasket to metal contact and it will hold for years. Otherwise, find another company besides these clowns. Thank you.

I have been a customer of American Sunroof for over 10 years. I checked several sunroof shops beforehand and I'm glad I selected ASC. All of their sunroof installations have been first class. My experience with ASC dates to 1998 when they put an electric sunroof on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma, then two Tundras, (2001 and 2007) the latter of which included a seamless installation of a navigation/bluetooth system w/rear view camera which was perfectly integrated to the rear tailgate handle (just like the factory) you can't even tell its there.



Last, a 2008 scion Xb, for which they recommended a twin vent unit which is great because it allows you to talk and get fresh air at the same time... excellent product. As you can see, I like Toyotas with sunroofs, unfortunately some of their vehicles do not offer sunroofs as an option. Another reason is that I typically pick a low trim level for my work trucks, since I don't want to pay extra for higher trim vehicles just to get the sunroof. That's why I come to ASC.



In all of these cases, the installations looked and performed as if they were factory installed, my Friends do not believe they are aftermarket!!

The cable controlling the sunroof on my 2005 Toyo 4Runner broke. I contacted two Toyo dealers and was quoted $1100 for the replacement cable plus $400 for the installation. One dealer suggested I contact ASC since they specialize in sunroofs. Reubin was able to quickly compare what the 4Runner cable diagram showed with that of the Toyo Sienna and it was a perfect match! Price out the door was $500 incl tax. Saved me $1000. In the past I have used ASC to install leather on the seats of two vehicles and recently used them to install tinting on two different cars (Mark), all with no problems.

I took my Mercury Milan to American Sunroof after being quoted a rediculous price by the dealership for repairs to my sunroof. I did not believe that the dealership had quoted me an accurate price. American Sunroof fit me in immediately, and fixed my sunroof for 1/4 of the price the dealership was going to charge. They were upfront, honest, and did an excellent job repairing my vehicle. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that I know.

Sorry to hear about your problem. They screwed me over last year.
