We have been taking our pets to Dr. Rex for years. He is a wonderful vet and a really nice guy.
He is the only vet we will go to.

On 08/04/2016 I took my Australian Shepherd Mix to Dr. Rex to get neutered. The procedure was to cost me $130 but instead it costed me a visit to Pet ER and $2500 more.

Dr. Rex had not effectively ligated (tie-off) either of the testicular blood vessels & my dog was hemorrhaging. Dr. Joo at the Emergency Pet Hospital performed surgery to fix Dr. Rex's error. When she opened my dog up there was so much blood she couldn't locate his vessels quickly. My dog is still in critical condition (08/05)

I went back to Dr. Rex with the report from the Pet ER & all he said was, "This has never happened to me", & "I've been doing this since '78", & "There's nothing I can do". When he apologized, it didn't sound genuine. Perhaps I caught him on a bad day, but I was not fortunate enough to witness the "compassionate", "empathetic", & "sympathetic" veterinarian. He was cold.

I understand that accidents happen, but to me it seems to show Dr. Rex's character & needless to say, I am not impressed.

I find Dr Rex to be a caring and excellent Vet. I have gone to him for years. I will continue to go to him, even though there are several vets much closer to my home.

All I can say is I wish Dr. Rex was MY personal Dr! I have been going to Dr.Rex for over 3 years now and he is the best vet I have ever been to! My lab mix dog was attacked by another dog that broke her leg and Dr. Rex and his staff were beyond amazing in handling my emergency. She received surgery and after 2 weeks was running and playing... You can really tell an animal lover and Dr.Rex is the true epitome of one!!

I'm sad reading the bad reviews. Dr Rex has gone out of his way when it came to my babies. I recently picked a dog from SB Shelter who had Kennel Cough and then it turned into Pneumonia. Dr Rex treated her and she's 100% happy and healthy now. She's going back in today for her shots etc. In my opinion he loves what he does and charges sooooooo much less than others have charged me.

Dr Rex and Devore Animal Shelt...

Dr Rex and Devore Animal Shelter are bad Veterinarain care and ethics. 9/7/12 Went in and saw a Great Dane puppy that was emaceated and limped 9/8/12 I went back and adopted the puppy. At this point they said she had a old injury and just needed to use her muscles again. I could not pick her up until 9/10 after she was spayed by Dr Rex on Baseline st in San Bernardino. We picked her up at 4:00pm. at that point I was told she was on 100mg of Trimadole twice a day for pain and may even have hip displacia. 24 hours later she is fighting for her life because she had a high fever and was too emanceated to operate.

horrible vet! overcharges and awful treatment.

I adopted a dog from devore animal shelter and had to pick up my dog from here. I was charged $175.00 for grooming that left her with giant gaping open wounds all over her belly. She was very matted and had stickers covering her (my vet and groomers were on stand by) they said that she needed to be sedated to perform her spay but it had already been done so it wasn't necessary . They handed her to me unbated and open wounds (THEY GAVE HER, no wonder she was biting them) no bath nails so long she could barely walk and unattended sores all over. Scratching my head I paid $175.00 for more problems then I had. I had to sit with tweezers and get the foxtail from her skin myself because it was to late to go to our regular vet and she was in so much pain.

Botched Surgery

Picked up my dog after spay. She started bleeding from her rear 2 days later took her back to the vet and he siad it was a respitory infection. Had me buy medication for a "respitory" infection. I asked repeatedly why she would be bleeding from the rear for a respitory infection he said it was common after surgery. Needless to say my puppy died that night.
