This apartment is the worst place to be. It has poor upkeep, questionable drug infestation, noisy neighbors and nonstop screaming children, and you will absolutely never get your deposit back. I received an invoice in the mail in place of my deposit check claiming urine was on my carpet with a charge of $700. Urine!!! How could that be?! I am a 4th year medical student, who spent 90% of her time at the hospital. After a painful month of back and forth they refunded me $250 for "good will" keeping $400 of my deposit for cleaning the carpet and painting the walls. For someone who paid her rent on time, never said a peep, and hardly used the apartment this is a real insult, not at all how good people deserve to be treated. $700 for me is a lot of money, I am a starving student, every penny counts, what they are doing is a crime, this is thievery at its finest. The tenants to act a fool and vandalize the apartment and leave without paying rent don't suffer these consequences that us honest kind people are faced with. By next year I will be a practicing physician and pretty soon money will not be a problem for me, but the people of Goldenbell Reall Estate Management Corporation who own Casa Linda Apartments will have very bad karma coming their way.
