Was not going to write a review until I saw the one star review written by "Mustlovecats." That review was so contrary to my personal experiences there, as to make me believe it was pure spite and in-objective vitriol as opposed to a legitimate complaint.

Doctors and ESPECIALLY the staff are first class. I have been going there for years and NEVER witnessed the front desk staff be anything but attentive and professional. As for ALL of the Vets there, they may not get it perfect every time but it is not because of lack of effort. There efforts are every bit as thorough and professional as my own PPO doctor and I am very picky!

A great big "thank you" and job well done to ACWC for taking care of my dog for her 12 years and for my other dog before her!

Misdiagnosed my cat not once, but multiple times. The women vets seemed OK, so this is not about them, but about Dr. Dicarlo. My poor cat was put on injections and daily pills for these conditions; spend thousands of dollars only for cat to end up in the ER from being misdiagnosed. ER vet referred us to an internist and we had to rerun the tests which proved cat had none of these conditions Dr. Dicarlo in which claimed she had. On a lesser note, front desk staff mixed up my cat's medication on multiple occasions and I was even told “ too many hand's in the cookie jar” In reality, the girls were too busy talking & gossiping. Also, front desk staff messed up giving testing advice about fasting and had to reschedule after making an extra trip down there with my cat. These trips are very stressful on her. I finally decided I wanted to see Dr. Holt instead, and was told by front desk that I couldn't, that you need to stay with Dr. Di Carlo because he's been the one seeing your cat. Also, when we had to go the internist after being referred by the ER vet, they needed a copy of my cat’s file and they refused to fax it to them and made me drive over to pick it up. They will happily run more and more tests and take more and more money, but if you ask for something simple like a copy of your cat’s file, look out. At some point, if a vet can’t figure out what’s really wrong with your animal, they need to put their ego aside and refer you to a specialist who can.

I would like to thank Dr. Holt and the caring staff at Animal Care Wellness Center. Our family dog, Bella, was really sick and I brought her to the clinic to find out what was wrong with her. I didn’t have an appointment but the wait time was about 15 minutes! Dr. Holt wanted to know all her symptoms and had x-rays ordered. Our dog ate rocks that were stuck in her intestines. She recommended for Bella to have an IV and treatment to get rid of the rocks that was causes the blockage. This required Bella to stay overnight. The staff and Dr. Holt helped put me at ease that Bella would get the very best treatment. It is so nice to have people that care for your dog and really enjoy what they do. I picked her up today and her tail was wagging like crazy. I can’t thank you enough for making our family dog feel better.

It could have been really negative experience to take our very old, failing dog in to be euthanized out of her struggles. But it wasn't.



At the Center, I found nothing but understanding and compassion. They let me take as long as I needed with my dog, in a private room, and I was able to say goodbye to her and pet her while she was put to sleep by injection. It was a peaceful going.

Two generations of our family have trusted our pet care to Animal Care Wellness Center. Veterinarians like the three doctors here are very hard to find. Caring staff too! My father and grandparents still take their animals there and would never go anywhere else. The doctors have always given us the choices of what they can do to help our pets. Sometimes it is just not possible to save the oldest ones. But, if it is possible, they WILL DO IT! They take the same medical precautions to protect your pets that people hospitals do for us. We have had regular yearly check-ups, spays, surgeries and even chemotherapy for a dog with cancer (he lasted 3 years longer than any of our family expected). The whole staff at Animal Care Wellness give your pets the best treatment you could ever ask for. Thank you for taking time to do the best for our pets for so many years, and thanks for being so affordable too!
