After going to a different Salon in Stone Oak , who ruined my hair to the point of my bangs breaking off. I finally decide to take a chance on this Salon for a hair cut and blow out to help the healing process. My Stylist Eric was amazing. He explained everything he was doing and really did a great and my hair felt amazing after. He was very professional but easy going at the same time. He showed me some product that he used which I bought and are already making my hair feel amazing. Just LOVE LOVE the service and quality of work. Thank You ERIC because of him I will only go there for my hair needs!.

Let me start by saying at this place you definitely get what you pay for! If you pay for a low level hairstylist, you will get a substandard haircut and style. If you have the money to pay for someone at the highest levels, you will walk out of there very satisfied and happy. Having said that, let me highly recommend Leslie G. I have been going to her for 3 years now, and have always come out of there completely satisfied. When I moved outside San Antonio 3 hours away, I had no choice but to go to someone else. They totally messed up my hair and I left crying. I drove all the way into San Antonio and saw Leslie, and she immediately corrected it and I left happy. I am back in SA and would not go to anyone else. This girl has worked miracles on my hair when I thought it was hopeless.

I love Visible Changes in the North Star Mall. I have been going to Martin since about 2004. He came recommended by a business associate who's hair I'd admired. Then she told me that the entire office staff of 5 are also his clients. My dentist complimented on my cut and I on her's, then we realized we both went to Martin! I don't get mine dyed there but she does and it always looks nice and not brassy. Over the past nine plus years, I have been very satisfied with the consistency of my cuts. I don't worry anymore about it not turning out right for some special event or something. I know he listens and will also tell me when I pick a style or length that won't work with my hair type or won't look right on me. The products he recommends for me have always worked out, unlike the supermarket products I used to buy and use only a few times. I plan on going to Martin until he retires!! I also posted this same review on yelp.

So this was my first time making an appointment with this salon and I was praying for a good outcome. I know exactly what I want out of a hair cut and I am willing to pay for a good one with someone who knows what they are doing. I called in to make an appointment and was given one with either Elizabeth or Erika (something like that, she had 13 years of experience from what I was told) and was one of the higher level hair stylist (also cost more). I felt pretty good going in with a picture that was VERY CLEAR and showed the hair cut exactly how I wanted it. Now, let me just add, my hair was not extra voluminous or kinky, so I knew it's very achievable to get the same cut as the picture I was taking. So I get called upon by my hair stylist who was actually a nice young woman (I WONT bash her for that, customer service wise she was great) BUT I noticed she really didn't do any consultation with me to see what I wanted, it seemed as though she was about to start cutting until I told her "Would you like me to show you the picture of the style I want?" and she said "oh , yea that's fine" so she scoped it out and said she could do it and asked how I wanted my bangs to which I said LONG AND ACROSS THE FACE... Snip snips later I realized she cut them VERY SHORT above my eyebrows! that IS NOT LONG. along with my hair cut I told her exactly AND I MEAN EXACTLY the length I wanted and I ended up with a very short hair cut. My hair was very long before and even though I wanted a change, I wanted it to be the change I CHOSE not the one someone decided to go with. THEN to top it off I asked when was she going to straighten or blow dry my hair and she replied "oh well I have another client and you have to schedule that separate." i was thinking THIS MUST BE A JOKE! who pays top dollar for a hair cut to leave with your hair soaking wet like if you paid $12 at master cuts?! (DEF. NOT KNOCKING MASTER CUTS... just saying) I even asked when I had made the appointment if that included styling the hair and they said yes. Well super long story short, she still did NOT blow dry my hair which really pissed me off due to the amount I was paying and the fact that I KNEW she cut my hair to look NOTHING like what I asked for. So when she walked me to the front I complained to Gabe who I think is an assistant manager there and VERY NICE. I don't think it's right to mess up someones hair cut (especially someone who claims to have a lot of years of experience) and not offer to fix it. I completely understand about keeping appointment times to stay in good standing with clientele, but what about staying in good standings by doing what you are getting paid to do. I was taken to ERIC who has been working there for less than a year and is a Junior Stylist from what he told me... I SHOULD HAVE JUST BOOKED MY APPOINTMENT WITH HIM TO BEGIN WITH!!! You pay less with a junior stylist than with a director and he KNEW exactly what I has wanted from my hair cut. He was able to somewhat fix the hair portion which was supposed to have face framing (but didn't!! so he added them in) and I was told that the "thinning" of my hair was done way to close to my scalp, which even I know shouldn't be done.... but when you pay almost $70 for a hair cut, you expect for your stylist to know what she is doing. I was very upset and disappointed that I had to pay to get my hair CHOPPED. But thankfully ERIC was very very awesome in fixing it and STYLING IT so I could see what my hair REALLY looked like. OVERALL... the 1 star is due to my hair cut and the fact that I was pretty much thrown to the side because she had another client. BUT I give both Gabe and Eric 5 stars for being very professional and going out of their way to make the client happy! THAT is true customer service. Would I go back??? Only if Eric is my stylist, if not I will just look for somewhere else to cut my hair.

Do not go to Evelyn for Color!!!

I don't know if that's correct spelling but she trash talked her other clients while dying my hair and butchered "the ombre" I of course didn't want Evelyn to fix the mess due to the fact that she has no experience (as I was told by her co workers)...ultimately they were nice and let someone who knows what they are doing fix it.
