TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas is a coeducational, college-preparatory school for students in grades 6-12 with optional JROTC and boarding programs. Athletics, fine arts, spirituality, and extracurricular activities round out the TMI experience. Since 1893, TMI has educated students to become servant leaders in our communities. From the school’s first valedictorian, General Douglas MacArthur ’97, to its many graduates throughout the years – such as Tom C. Frost Jr. ’45, Congressman Lamar Smith ’65, astronauts, military officers, Pulitzer Prize nominees and many other notable men and women – TMI has a long history of educational excellence in preparing students for college and beyond. TMI educates both girls and boys in grades 6-12, offering small classes, honors and AP courses, and a full range of extracurricular activities including community service, theater, choir, and band. The competitive athletic program at TMI emphasizes teamwork, work ethic, sportsmanship, and commitment while over 1/3 of the student body participates in the nationally distinguished JROTC program, which boasts the award of Honor Unit with Distinction, and provides students unsurpassed leadership training. "TMI taught me to think critically, seek the underlying meaning and not take things at face value. Most importantly, I gained the confidence and drive to pursue my dreams," Christopher S. Wagner '86.

TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas provided an excellent academic community for my two sons. They both graduated with scholarship offers and one played baseball at a Texas college. Aside from the excellent academics and preparation they received for college, they went to school with students who are all focused on applying to and being accepted to colleges. The college counseling experience was exceptional! The sports, clubs and organizations provided ample opportunity for involvement with variety that was unusual for a small school. Daily chapel and peer chapel talks provided additional value for the experience. One son was a cadet in the JROTC and one was not and both loved their TMI experience. Highly recommended!
