Have always taken our personal vehicles and company vehicles to RMS they are timely and reasonable,with excellent customer service.

I took my Dodge 3500 to this shop for an engine overhaul and got royally ripped off. This shop is a joke and they run a bait and switch operation. Do not take your vehicle to this place, but if you do, get ready to lose your money and your parts and your time. Stay far away this shop, don’t go near this place.

I cannot believe that these guys are still in business. Took my Ford F150 to this shop last year and they literally destroyed my engine. I had to pay them to get my disabled truck back. These guys are running a very shady operation at their shop and I don't think that they ever fix anything. Do not take your car to these guys. I think that all the positive Yelp reviews are not being written by real customers.

TERRIBLE!!!! My family has taken a total of 3 cars to RMS and all were diagnosed with cracked heads. Coincidental? I think not! If you've had the same thing told to you please speak up! I always see so many cars outside of their lot and have a gut feeling they are ripping people off. If this is true i plan to sue them.

This place is horrible I was a longtime customer and always had my car fixed though I always watch them fix my car last couple times I've been there they've damaged my vehicle and made me pay for it they also did the same thing to my sister don't bring your car here it will just cause you to spend more money than you would if you brought it somewhere else

I just want to thank RMS machine shop for doing a well done job on my car. I have a 2011 dodge nitro that i overheated and messed up the engine. I took it to several places and it felt like it was cheaper to buy a car than to fix mine , i was really considering just selling it and buying some cheap car just to make it to work, but not only they saved me money but the car felt better than before. they gave me warranty on the job and its been over 6 months that my suv been running smooth with no problems or weird sounds like before. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS.

I took my 2008 6.4 Powerstroke Diesel for a complete overhaul. Had it done the same week. Very professional and knowledgeable people. Ric answers his phone even on the weekends when I was working putting the engine back in the truck. Highly recommended. This machine shop has done several engines for me for the past 30 years.

The car was left for repairs that we expected were to be done within a “normal” amount of time. They had the car for over a month because they disappeared and we were unable to contact them. They were not answering their phone and when we went to the shop the people that we had dealt with were not there, but the car had taken apart and the man that was there told us that they were out of town. We learned that they were back in town because of constant calling and then had to wait for them to complete the work that they had said the car needed.

When we finally went to pick the car up we were unable to pay because the card machine was broken, so they asked for cash, which we did not have and did not have time to go get at that point, so they were paid a few days later when there was time to get the payment and go over to the shop which is quite a distance from where we live.

The repairs that were done on the car left it without power and unable to operate, it would not accelerate nor go over 15 mph. We were told that that should improve but it did not so a few day later we took it in for another inspection and were told that it needed another repair. The initial cost wast 1675 and the second was 600. The same issue took place.

They were unavailable and not answering their phone while they had the vehicle and when we finally were able to go to the shop, we were told that they were going to charge us a storage fee for keeping the car. After all of this we left with the car and two days later it broke down. We then tried to get them to go to the location of the car to see what was wrong but this never happened. They were unavailable and never came out to the car.

This was a couple of weeks ago, so this weekend we had the car towed to their shop for another fee and left it there to see what can be done. Overall this has been the worst experience we have ever had with a mechanic and the result is that we now have a broken down car after paying 2375 and having to deal with poor business practices and dishonest interactions with people.

My vehicle was left at the shop on 9/7/2015 and still they were not done. Not only that poor mechanic who didn't know what they were doing! The worst shop that anyone would go and get there service done at the place. To the point I had to contact the police for all the damage the have caused. I will be contacting a lawyer and demanding my money back extremely poor customer service and fraud!

All the good reviews that people have given this shop are totally false. This shop was originally on General McMullen in the west side. Now they are off of I-10/West Ave. The good reviews come from their family members and people that they do shady business with. This shop will rip you off. I highly recommend looking at the BBB reviews. There are always cops at the shop dealing with customers that this father and son shop has ripped off! They switch out motors and offer transmission rebuild service claiming that they can get it done cheaper for you. The problem is that they get a used transmission from a junk yard and paint it new while charging you for a complete rebuild. I know his cause their very own mechanic told me so. They go through mechanics like crazy. Not one mechanic will last that long there cause they fear retaliation from the hundreds of angry customer's that this shop has ripped off. If you know someone that would recommend them... Chances are that they too rip people off! Please have them put your motor and transmission type and serial number on the paper work so that they cannot burn you. Also... Have them put down a completion date. This should be done with any machine shop, especially shady ones like this one! Once again... They are rip off artist!

I came across this machine shop when my engine on my dodge charger was acting up and they were able to fix it and gave me an afordable price now that I've switched vehicles and also had an issue with my Ford Edge and they were again able to help me resolve my engine issue, i will say I couldn't be happier and thankful that I found a place that not only knows how to fix what's under the hood but has also helped me with minor things like changing out a tire or pointing me in the right direction to get body work done! RMS does it all and they don't delay in getting it done. I didn't have to wait more than 1-3 days to have my vehicles back in running condition! Thanks for all your help

These guys are great! I would recomend this facility. I was taking my 2013 c-300 Mercedes benz and dealer prices were becoming costly, so took my vehicle to RMS and was extremely satisfied with the professionalism, due-diligence and work performed by the crew. ALL OF THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS ARE SCAMS...READ MINE. I went to Richards Machine Shop before reading reviews...BAD MOVE...look under Richards Machine Shop on YP and BBB. They change the name around after they get a few bad reviews. To diagnose my car they started taking things apart. Then I was told I would need to leave a deposit of $2000 as I needed an engine overhaul. I said forget it and they replied with saying that they had already spent $1300 taking things apart to diagnose the problem. So, giving the deposit, I waited and waited and waited. No work was ever done. After speaking with other people that were upset about this place I learned it is not really a shop, but a shop set up as a SCAM. Deposits are taken, cars sit, incompetent mechanics give you the run around, and no work is ever done. When I finally got my vehicle back after paying $2500 for NO work done, I realized my odometer was several hundred miles over what it was when I brought it in. These guys drove my vehicle around as a leisure car. I doubt anything legal goes on there. THESE GUYS ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH...THE MOST VIAL & HORRIBLE PEOPLE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. THESE GUYS ARE THIEVES, SHOULD BE LOCKED UP WITH THE REST OF THE CON ARTISTS, AND NO ONE SHOULD TAKE A VEHICLE TO THEM...THEIR BUSINESS NEEDS TO DIE SO OTHERS DON'T GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.

I would like to thank the RMS guys for helping me fix my 2004 Toyota Corolla. The engine blew and they did a complete rebuild. Thanks Ric and the team at RMS for doing a great job!!!

I take all my machine work to RMS and they always do quality and precision work. Definitely coming with more work and telling my mechanic friends.

These guys are great! I had a brake caliper come loose and it was making a terrible noise. It was 7:30 at night and they happened to be working on an engine. They were friendly and fixed the problem in a few minutes. Just $20 bucks for after-hours help! It's hard to find people who are helpful now a days.
