DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! I'm a local business owner and purchased a commercial mower from this crook. They have grossly overcharged and not delivered what they promised. They have lost equipment that brought in to be repaired and they overcharge on their repairs.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!

I purchased my lawnmower here for repair b/c I bought a $1000 Toro Timemaster from them 1 year ago. While sharpening the blades, I somehow overtightened using a Torq Wrench set at 60 per the manual, and the main bolt attaching blade to spindle snapped off. I didn't have a bolt extractor and wanted them to Torq both blades properly so dropped it off. They called and said their recommendation would be to replace the entire spindle, which would also require draining oil/gas, plus labor, coming in just shy of $200 with taxes. I was almost OK with having them do this until Ernie became completely condescending in tone over the phone explaining that this is why they use a $3500 pneumatic tool to tighten bolts. I stated, as a homeowner, having a $3500 bolt tool isn't practical or realistic, and I tightened per manual instructions like I have before so not sure why the bolt snapped this time. He then felt it was appropriate to say I'm just telling you what we do, you don't have to have it repaired, whether you have us fix it or not doesn't affect my business. Say what? I don't affect your business as a customer? Obviously I told him to piss off and picked up my lawnmower. And guess what? I pulled over at ACE hardware a few blocks away, bought a
$10 bolt extractor, got home and removed the broken bolt myself in 5 minutes. They didn't even try to remove it, just tried to sell me unnecessary parts and labor. To top it off, I had just sharpened the blades before taking my mower to them. The blades on my mower I brought back home are dull, chipped, and no shiny edges from a fresh sharpening. The crooks even stole my blades. Not even worth calling them back about, I'll just post this everywhere. Literally go ANYWHERE but here.

Have a Toro self paced mower which needed a belt & blade. I spoke with John and Ernie who were very helpful and courteous. They took care of my mower and had me on way promptly. Will be returning for future needs.

Went to pick up my power washer. They couldn't find it. He said if I'm honest with you it was stolen. I said ok, then you have insurance right? He then changed tack and said it had been thrown out because it had been there over 30 days.

Go to Mustang for a reputable ...

Go to Mustang for a reputable dealer. I went to J&Es to buy a Toro part that I just purchased at Mustang for $4.95. The guy was extremely rude, not helpful and then tried to charge me $24.95 for the same part without looking up the price. I said I just purchased the same part at Mustang appliances for $4.95 and he took the part and said "then go buy it there".

Real nice customer service. How is this place in business?

Called to inquire on products. after explaining myself, lady quotes a zero-turn (I believe that's how it's called) at over two grand. Tried to inquire further, lady interrupts me saying: "Listen sir, as I had..." at which point, appalled by such an attitude, I said, "Mam... have a good day." and hung up. Is this a sample of the customer service? Thank you, but no thanks!

Don't waste you time or money at this business! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The mechanic was rude and arrogant. I took my mower there for warranty work and ended up fixing it myself. I'm amazed this place is still in business! The young man working the counter however was polite and tried to be helpful.

Don't buy here, I bought a new zero turn mower here, and always came back here to get all my parts. They seem to be knowledgable about the mowers but usually gave me the wrong parts, or I had to have a part ordered and after I paid for it. 3 weeks later they still hadn't ordered it. Now they seem to be rude and won't get the right parts at all.

Rude and bad customer service

I called them to get an idea what it would cost to repair my lawnmower. I explained how I damaged it and was told there would be a $20 diagnostic fee and it would then be applied to the bill to fix it. I theb asked if he an range of what repairs usually cost and the guy told me "why don't you put your phone real close to the lawnmower and let me see it". Needless to say I would take my lawnmower to anybody else but that jerk.

NOOO. I took my walking mower ...

NOOO. I took my walking mower there to get the transmission fixed. I was told a $20 minimum fee was required and that would be applied toward the repairs. Eight days later I called them and John said the carburetor was clogged up with a jelly like substance and need to be cleaned. I told them I took it there to get the TRANSMISSION FIXED. He immediately replied that it would be $175 for the parts and $65 for the labor plus the carburetor cleaning!!! I told him no and went to pick up the mower and he tried to sell me a used Toro for $250. I then took it to Blanco Fix-it where Aaron fixed it for $59. What a deal. Do not go to John's and Ernies. I speak the truth. I wasted $20 and a week of waiting for nothing.

Do not take you lawn equipment...

Do not take you lawn equipment here for repair. I took my lawnmower to them to have the fuel line replaced and the cable looked at since it looked loose to me. They quoted a price to replace the carburetor and a tune up. After they completed those repairs they called to tell me that the self-propelled was not working and would cost $69 more. I would not have gone ahead with the initial repairs if he had not indicated to me in the first call that the self-propelled was working well. I could buy a new lawn mower for the amount they are charging for repairs.

Rude & incompetent

They have no idea how to treat a customer (once you finally get a hold of them and they finally tell you what is wrong with your lawnmower). They are out to make the most money out of you they can. Avoid.

We are sorry but we have been in business for over 20 years. We are here to cater to the customers that purchase equipment from our store. Sorry, but I don't know what kind of lawnmower you have and due to the hard economic crisis; we have had to raise our prices. Our mechanic has many accredited certifications and our labor prices go with standard repair manuel provided by our manufactures. So in response we are not incompetent. Sometimes it is cheaper to purchase a new mower than to have an old one repaired depending on number of years. Parts might not be available.
