***INDEPENDENCE TITLE LOST OUR $5,075.40 CASHIERS CHECK!!!!!***
My husband and I used this company to buy our first house and we cannot stress enough how horrible of a service we received with many unprofessional mishaps.
We made an appointment with them for the day of signing on the house. They called me a day earlier to tell me they were going to have to send a mobile notary instead of coming in and instead of 10am it would have to be until 11am (we chose that time specifically because some people have to work!) and she told me to bring a check for way more of what we had to bring, obviously this notary did not communicate with her co workers back in the office. We ended up bringing the cashiers check for the right amount of $5,075.40. This was on a Saturday. This problem was the first one and totally fixable.
Monday comes and I get a phone call from my realtor that (for some reason) Independence Title called her to tell her that they "never got the cashiers check". At this point I'm really freaking out. Did the mobile notary run off with it? Why didn't the company call me to tell me this? While I'M calling THEM I'm checking my bank account if someone has cashed it in. After talking to the first person they transferred me to I talked to her boss who was the one that handled our folder. Now I'm being told that the cashiers check was there but then she lost it.

SIMPLY JUST LOST A $5,075.40 CASHIERS CHECK!!!!
I MUST ADD THAT THIS LADY IS TELLING ME ALL OF THIS WITHOUT EVER SAYING "IM SORRY" EVER! Never a single apology, never the slightest remorse or embarrassment. In fact, she later started giving me attitude! I could not believe it!
Issue is just now being fixed today!! After 3 months!!!!!
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! So unprofessional
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
