Dr. Hales performed my right thyroid lobectomy about 1 month ago. He is an excellent surgeon. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the surgery and my 'condition' (large mass). The follow up appointment went well, he also spent time addressing any and all of my concerns. He even recommended a scar treatment gel, Xeragel, which is one of the less expensive ones! My incision is small, I honestly don't know how he got my large mass and half my thyroid out of it! My recovery went better than I expected. The only downside is the long wait to see him, he seems to always be at least 45 minutes behind. I don't mind waiting for such and excellent doctor/surgeon. He is worth the wait!
