Ladd replaced a leaky skylight for us. I was impressed by how quickly and efficiently he completed what I thought would be a tricky installation. He was courteous and very personable. He is also conscientious and thoughtful - and strong, easily carrying a 75 pound skylight up a ladder and on to our roof.

We hired Ladd’s team to replace our old and leaky acrylic dome skylights over our kitchen and bathroom with new Velux fixed glass skylights. Work was done promptly and professionally with Ladd supervising the entire process. I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process.

Ladd was incredible - he came out to the house in the middle of a week of rain (and two days before Christmas) to help us with a leaky skylight. He effectively covered the skylight as a temporary fix until the rain stopped. He returned about a week later and resealed all of our skylights. He was wonderful, responsive, informative and affordable. Will definitely use Mr Skylight for any additional skylight issues in the future (if any!)

You will not find a more experienced skylight contractor in Marin. Ladd, (Mr. Skylight) and his professional crew, replaced our old fixed skylights with solar powered operable glass skylights over our Living Room. He went the "extra mile" leveling up the uneven curbs with wood furring strips and installing additional layers of foam weather stripping to make sure there were no air gaps where wind driven rain can force its way in. The Living Room feels much more comfortable with the trapped hot air being able to escape during the hot summer months.

If it seems like every review on this page is a glowing endorsement for Ladd and his team there is a good reason. They are extremely skilled at what they do.

Ladd was ultra responsive to our initial request for a quote. Thoughtful in designing an efficient and elegant solution to the problem. Clear in communicating the details of the estimate. And extremely personable, thorough and professional during the installation.

Their high level of craftsmanship and problem solving shows in the impeccable outcome of the final work. Our home was built in 1956 and the new solar operable skylights fit in perfectly as if they were part of the original architectural plan.

I would fanatically recommend Mr. Skylight to anyone needing skylight repair or new units installed. You will not find anyone better. In Marin, or the entire Bay area.

Like so many others who have posted, my experience with Mr. Skylight was excellent from start to finish and I can highly recommend the service that Ladd provides. I had to replace two old leaking skylights with custom-made ones to fit the openings. The response to my initial phone call was quick and Ladd showed up at the scheduled time for both the estimate and installation. Ladd obviously had much experience with skylight installation, could give good advice, communicated well, and his crew was equally competent and efficient when it came to the installation. They took care to put protective covers in the interior workspace and cleaned up with little mess they made. I have had many experiences with construction over the years and this was one of the best!

Ladd is amazing! He is so knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He fixed both skylight issues quickly and cleaned up. He went above and beyond and I am a very happy customer!!!

We feel very fortunate that we were able to get Ladd (Mr. Skylight) out to our part of Wet Marin to install 5 replacement skylights. He was a great pleasure to work with: prompt, responsive, knowledgeable, honest, informative and reliable. He did beautiful, detailed work replacing our skylight frames with new ones for standard sized glass in record time. He also kindly did some free repairs in the adjacent roof (!) Truly one of the most pleasant home repair experiences I have ever had. I'm very grateful to know that a company like this exists.

Ladd (aka Mr. Skylight) is a dream to work with. On time, professional, a true craftsman. He kept his work area super clean, he gave great advice. Was not trying to upsell us and his keen eye for aesthetics helped us place our solar tunnels in just the right space. I absolutely recommend him for your skylight needs!

No sooner had I left a message with Mr. Skylight (aka Ladd) inquiring about an estimate for a leaking skylight, than I received a text to my cell with a picture of my roof (presumably from Google Earth) asking 'which one'? This kind of responsiveness and personal attention to detail exemplifies the kind of workmanship and professionalism you get when dealing with Ladd. Who knew skylights got old? Not only were they ancient, they were spider-cracked with leaking gaskets. In all I had 9 replaced and all got done in the space of one day! The team coordinated with my tenants to ensure no mess or detritus in the house. I hope to never need skylights again, but if I do, I know who to call.

The old acrylic skylight had a large crack & we called Mr Skylight. Ladd recommended Velux glass with thermal breaks to reduce condensation. We are very pleased with the skylights. They look great. Everything was explained clearly, they arrived on time, did a great job & cleaned everything up. I highly recommend Mr Skylight.

It was an absolute delight from start to finish having our skylights replaced by Ladd. We initially worked with our previous GC that did the roof, but our instinct told us to have the work done by Ladd and we were not disappointed.

Ladd was professional, on-time, finished when he said they would and was attentive to our questions. The 3 skylights look beautiful, work flawlessly and finally provide shade and ventilation in our kitchen! [we chose the solar remote-operated Velux with blinds] Ladd also helped us understand how to file for the Federal tax credit.

I cannot recommend this company to the extent they deserve..a sure 10. I needed two 4' x 6' 30 year old operable dome skylights replaced. The estimate was very reasonable and I surely got more value by far than I expected. Ladd's middle name must be Integrity, with professionalism with heart. He protected my interior by moving furniture and laying tarps, even using protection between the exterior ladder and facia. Everything was left cleaner than when he and his crew arrived. He obviously has superb expertise on every aspect of the wide variety of brands, installations, and roofs, with meticulous attention to detail. He is prompt and his communications are excellent, a foretelling of the quality of the work. He doesn't stop until his own high standards are met. They went above and beyond cleaning the mold and corrosion off of the old skylight frames and sprayed them out with bronze to match and to make them like new again. He also bought extra hardware to improve the screen opening and both skylight operators, without extra expense to me. These skylights are now better than they were when new. Also beyond the estimate, the crew cleaned my other skylights and swept my entire roof, carefully collecting the debris and leaving in the green can. I cannot thank him enough. No matter what your expectations, Mr. Skylight will exceed them.

We had Ladd and his team from Mr Skylight out to assist us with some old and leaking skylights in our east Corte Madera home. We found our interactions to be extremely professional. Ladd kept us informed throughout every step of the process and was able to offer various options and recommendations as to how to best tackle our problem.

On the day of installation, the Mr Skylight team arrived on time and were polite and efficient. In fact, they noticed some other areas of our roof that could cause us some potential leakage down the road and proactively corrected and caulked the problem areas that we would have not discovered.

We are happy to recommend Mr Skylight and look forward to having him come out in the spring to assist with an old garage fan.

My neighbor was very pleased with the work that Mr. Skylight (Ladd Bogdonoff) had recently performed at her home. I knew this well in advance of my need to replace an older leaking skylight, so I asked for Ladd's contact info. Ladd suggested that I replace my dome skylight over the Master Bath with a new Velux glass skylight. Ladd's communication was excellent along with his work quality and efficiency. Highly recommend Mr. Skylight!!

Ladd Bogdonoff and Mr. Skylight is the only way to go! Utterly professional, prompt, and personable. Unlike most other contractors in Marin, you could set your watch based on him being on schedule.

Ladd was very patient, knowledgable and has a caring sense of humor making him a pleasure to work with. We had him replace two skylights -- kitchen and living room -- and are delighted with the design, quality of work, and the fact that he personally oversaw every aspect of the job hands on. Before the work started, he ensured that everything inside was protected. After the work was completed, he even got down on his hands and knees to ensure the house was cleaner than he found it!

Mr. Skylight, Ladd, is great. I called on Saturday afternoon to inquire about Sun Tubes. Ladd offered to come over Sunday morning. He went into attic and recommended the best place for the placement to avoid any rework in the attic. Next day he sent me a quote and we got started. Ladd is very trustworthy and only does one job at the time and he does them personally. I gave him the key to our house for three days while the work was happening. He cleaned up every night (you would not have know he was there if it was not for the new sun tubes). He is very thorough, and even noticed a few bathroom fans where the duct had come loose and repaired them. Mid way through the job, I talked to him about a slow leak in the roof that I had seen (not because of any work he had done) He promptly inspected and fixed the leak location and looked around the rest of the roof and found some gaskets missing. Ladd is a perfectionist and takes real pride in his work. You cannot go wrong with Ladd.
