Crime Victim Reparations provides financial compensation for victims of Crime. It administers the victim of crime act compensation and assistance grants as well as violence against women grants. Additionally, the department provides network victim services across the state. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, it provides training and staff support to the Utah Council on Victims of Crime. The Utah Council on Victims of Crime improves victim's services and rights in Utah. It provides training to victims' programs and promotes legislation. Crime Victim Reparations provides financial assistance to victims in the categories of financial loss, physical injuries and emotional trauma as a result of a violent crime.
