If you are looking for a great deal, a company that stands behind their word and are professionals, call these guys up. I live in Alaska and found a smoking deal at Prestman Auto in SLC. Mario and Jeremey made this transaction smooth over the phone and via email. I flew out to SLC, got the keys and drove it home. There were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed and they stood by their word and fixed them. Daniel in service was professional and on point. I really appreciate this crew and the truck they sold me. THANK YOU PRESTMAN AUTO! I wish i could leave you 10 stars!!!!!! Highly recommended.

Came in to look at a few vehicles they had in their lot, after a few test drives made my decision on a particular model because of desired performance and color. after a few hours of spending time with my own mechanic he advice me of the cost of repairs and due maintenance that the vehicle needed.( total cost of repairs over one thousand dollars) after making my way back to the dealer to meet with my original sales man (travis) , i came to find out he stepped out for a minute and another sales man (trevor) would be helping me out. after a few minutes of being in his cubicle he presented the numbers and paperwork, i looked at them and the interest rate being offered by the dealer was absurd the down payment was more then expected. ( granted i had been approved by Mountain america few days before for a clean title vehicle for $45K) I mentioned to the sales man (Trevor) that those numbers were not going to work due to the fact that i had a pre-approval from another bank. ( im guessing banks will not loan the full amount of the cars because they are branded ) he stated that it was the best they could do and when ahead and found excuses of why the interest was that high i guess his incompetent self could not answer correctly and it was easier to shift the blame back me. he also stated that if i didn't have the money maybe i should not be buying a car. i explained to him is not about the money is the fact i also have to take into consideration the repairs that need to be done to the vehicle in order for me to drive with a peace of mind, so putting a down payment plus repairs it wasn't the best idea. he was arrogant about it and said well that is the best you got. i said well thank you for your time I am going to go home and think about it, can i have a copy of the bank rate and figures?, he said not he needs to keep it them so i proceed to take a picture on my phone and he said " are you sure you want to occupy the space on your phone'' ? lol i said yeah, i am probably not going to buy the vehicle i said but i want to have a copy for my records, then he said thanks for wasting my time, i explained to him that the one who wasted his time and money was me,i had to pay $100 for an inspection to be done on their vehicle and i also spend over 5 hours with the mechanic but i said i take my looses because i understand that is the business. i have never met such a scum bag of sales man. unfortunately his lack of customer service and respect cost him a sale and i when ahead and purchased a clean title 2014 Porsche from another dealership. specialized sales & Leasing who i highly recommend, customer service is superb and vehicles are in perfect conditions

We had the best experience at Prestman Auto, it was so great to work with Tracy & Alec as they helped my family find the perfect car! They worked with us in our wants and needs. They didnt try to push us into any old car, they took the time with us to make sure it was perfect! They are always smiling, super friendly and I loved working with these guys. David helped me with financing the looking over the warranty options. I really appreciate the time he took with me to break it down line by line so I really understood everything. I think buying this car from Prestman Auto was one of the best experiences I have ever had buying a car! I would definitely recommend friends and family to go to Prestman Auto!

Spontaneously Phenomenal Experience! !

I fell in love with my car the minute I took it out for a test drive with my husband! It's my very first owned vehicle (after loan paid yes lol) but I had never dreamed of getting such a beauty. And it is all thanks to Todd Palmer and the gang! From the time we were picked up from the airport to the time we drove off in our car, the warmth of hospitality, service, and such great team work was nothing my husband and I had ever experienced before. Todd made sure we were taken care of and my husband and I are forever grateful. I loved their massaging chairs they had in the lobby; after a long morning of driving and flying, it was well worth it. Just as purchasing my car from Todd was worth every penny spent on our spontaneous trip here. Thanks again Todd and the gang! We will most definitely be seeing them again sometime soon! :)

On second thought

I bought a 2012 hail damaged car 14 months ago. I was told they just had to replace the glass and touch up the paint to make it ready to sell. After putting 20k on it the paint is chipping and fading bad. I looked for a shop to repaint it before the body starts to rust. The shop inspected the body and found it is covered in bondo from front to back. They also stated that the clear coat was not thick enough. I feel like a sucker.

Overall, I had a very positive experience with Prestman Auto. I am a very particular buyer, and ask a lot of questions and also take my time before making a decision. Not a single person at Prestman was pushy or tried to pressure me. I worked primarily with Alec Flitton who was patient and very responsive. Toward the end of my nearly 3 weeks of deciding, I also worked with Tracy Ball who helped finalize all of the paperwork.

What I find most refreshing is that neither Alec or Tracy tried to sell me anything. They were there to answer questions and help you test drive as many cars as you want as often as you want. I also appreciated that they were upfront about the cars and the Prestman "vision" and business model of selling only branded vehicles.

I am a big believer in branded title vehicles so I knew what I was getting into. With that said, it's important to me that the cars I buy have no frame or engine damage. Luckily, Prestman does not sell branded titles with frame or engine damage, so you know you're getting an especially good deal.

In the end, I was very happy I chose Prestman and will definitely be back.

Nice Guys - Poor Attention to Detail and Terrible Body Work!

Walking into their showroom is dreamlike. Very clean, warm greeting from the receptionist, classic cars, a nice motorcycle or two, and a brand new 2013 ‘Vette with 5 miles on it set on the showroom floor. It just feels good. We were introduced to Tracy – liked him right off the bat. I didn’t see any “slimy” looking sales guys lurking or swarming anywhere. We went to his desk and signed the paperwork to take a test drive and then he took us out to the car. He told us a little about it and showed us a few of the cool features, but we could tell he wasn’t really an expert on this Audi S4 model. He encouraged us to really “drive” it and to take 20 minutes or more to go wherever. After the test drive we decided to buy the car. After finishing the paperwork, Tracy told me to pick out a couple of Prestman T-shirts from the two racks they have on the floor while his guy detailed the car. When it was ready, he gave me the keys and I was off. Things have been downhill since that moment. The first thing I noticed when I got in the car is that the detailer must have thought “detail the Audi” meant to take the floor mats out of the trunk and put them in the car! The console storage was dirty, dust all over the interior and in the ash tray, floor not vacuumed. It had not been cleaned, much less detailed! I was so excited I didn’t care – plus it was right at closing time. The next week I had to take it to the Audi dealer to have them work on a problem with the MMI system and shop manager pulled me into the shop to show me what a crappy job Prestman did on the restoration. It was stuff I just wasn't trained to look for. The short of it is that we got screwed. The paint job was horrible (drips, overspray, and incomplete clear coat), the parts ill-fitting, the front end jacked, and the doors not aligned or even sealed properly. I took it back to them to have them fix it and left it there for a week (they did give us a loaner) but when I went back, they had only fixed about ½ the stuff they said they would fix – paint still not buffed. I finally took it to a detail shop and spent $360 to have them clay bar the paint to get it looking right – that’s when we discovered the lack of clear coat! I gave Prestman a chance to make it right with us, but they weren’t interested. I would not recommend buying a car from them. Their attention to detail in the facility is great but on the vehicles it is truly awful.

Bottom line: I love the Audi I...

I fell in love with the Audi S4 I bought from them and felt that it was offered at a fair price had it not had serious issues with the bodywork that I was too inexperienced and “ga-ga” to notice. I like the fact that they don’t dicker on price. The price is what it is. My wife and I really liked Tracy Ball, who sold us the car, and I feel that he's a good dude overall. The buying experience at Prestman is really great. The attention to detail in terms of the lot experience and the paperwork and the showroom is fantastic, however the attention to detail on our particular vehicle was really bad for both the body work and the “detailing” of the car. If that is typical of the body work their Audi guy does in California, I’d steer clear of Prestman’s Audi inventory. Whatever car you look at there – don’t be too excited about the shiny rims and great looking car models and the take a good hard look at the body work. Rub your hand on the paint to make sure there are no rough spots. Make sure the lines in the doors match up and that there is no orange peel in the paint. If you get in the car to take it off the lot and it is not completely flawless inside and out, stop, take it back, and have them detail it right. When they detailed our car all they did was take the floor mats out of the trunk and put them inside the car. I spent over $360 to have the paint over spray buffed off the car and found numerous issues with the repair work after getting it home and taking a closer look at things. Runs in the pain, buffed through the paint, etc.

Prestman Auto Utah accepted the deposit and was obligated to provide the title for the car by March 3rd. We still have not received the title. The company refuses to return the deposit. All our attempts to resolve the matter in a professional manner are met with obscenities and impudence.

It's Car Sales

I've bought two cars from Prestman and went back recently while considering another purchase. They do a lot of business in branded-title cars, which may allow for owning a spendier car for potentially less money. They've got decent variety of vehicles. The lot is okay; the building feels spacious. Compared to other places, the layout gave less sense of feeling physically trapped when sitting with a sales guy. I appreciated opportunity to take a test drive, alone, with relative ease.My issue with them is that they do car sales in the traditionally icky ways. My tolerance for car-sales tactics is admittedly low, so take that for what it's worth. I told the guy what I wanted and was very clear at the start about boundaries to stay within, and he consistently ignored them, delaying the process by adding in refused items as little bits and pieces in places I might not notice. I came ready to pay in full and told him I would not finance for philosophical reasons; he kept bringing it back to finance terms. When I finally got fed up with the persistently intentional delays and went to leave, "the boss" finally "got off the phone" to respond. What an amazing coincidence, right? But by that time, I'd had enough. Like I said, I've got very limited tolerance for sales-guy techniques, which I find to be manipulative and disrespectful. It would be pretty hard to talk myself into going back there again.

Best dealership around town for used luxury vehicles for a great deal!

Best dealership around town for used luxury vehicles for a great deal! I worked with Kamran with finding the perfect car for me, and he was very professional, very nice and fun to talk to---no pressure of buying whatsoever. It made the entire experience not as nerve-racking as it would have been elsewhere. Best of all, they let you test drive any and every car by yourself! He even went above and beyond to find the best deal for my trade-in. And even after all that, when I wasn't quite sure if I was going to buy a car, he sent a postcard thanking us for visiting anyway. Other dealerships (and I have shopped around everywhere in Salt Lake and Utah County and even in California) would just leave you be if they know you're not going to buy anything and that's that. At Prestman Auto, even without buying anything they still strive to keep in good terms with you! After lots of dealership hopping and hours and hours of test drives, with careful consideration we finally got a beautiful Cadillac STS and worked with Robert for financing and finalizing the numbers. He was upfront with everything, none of the "but wait, if you do this, you'll get this. BUT! if you do this you'll get this" spiel. They even gave us a great deal on our extended warranty (I highly recommend the platinum package for your peace of mind). Overall, this was the best experience we've had shopping for a car and we will definitely be back for more in the future. I highly recommend Prestman Auto to all my family and friends!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!! Firs...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!! First I'd like to note that they obviously get their hands on some pretty good looking vehicles but please be aware of the lingering liability associated with their sales practices. Ok, so salvaged or "branded" titles as they call them no big deal but I would assume a "DEALERSHIP" would have all documentation readily available for any given consumer. No...not this place!!! Didn't want to include names but Maurissa Maughan, a sales person there was very unknowing of their vehicles history. For instance she couldn't provide documentation for much of anything. She initially told me the car was purchased in CA then in UT, later to say it was sent to CA for repairs. Oh but wait gets better she doesn't even know where it gets repaired or how much the repairs costs. Her words "we pay them a flat rate per vehicle". Ok...who the hell is THEM???......she doesn't know. She casually guessed as to whether the air bag had ever been deployed. I encourage all those looking at Prestman Auto to do their due diligence as it may save you thousands or more.
