We went to gateway, latter day bridal for a wedding dress. First off all they measured my daughter wrong. Two different people measured her and got different measurements but then ask the bride, a young woman which she wanted to go with. How could she know, she not the specialist. When the dress came the attendant spent a lot of time in the dressing room with her then went and got another person to ask help her. After 20 minutes they came out and my daughter had the dress on. I could see it was pulling in the rib cage area. They ask her if she could breath and she said yes. I ask if it was too small, they said no. I ask again if the fabric came together in the back and they said yes. We just have trouble with the hidden zippers some time. Later I ask my daughter if they had trouble putting the dress on and she said that they told her it was just the zipper. She couldn't see the back. A week after we got home she put on the dress to show someone and there was a four inch space across her back from the waist to the top of the zipper where the zipper ends because the dress was too small. I called and tried to get some help and question why their workers would lie to me but they would not do anything about it because the bride said it was ok and had signed the bill of sale but it was ok that they had lied to me, which they said never happened. Even in their notes it says that they needed two people to get the dress on and zipped up. And now my daughter doesn't have a wedding dress for her wedding in two weeks because of their refusal to help when it was their mistake and they misrepresented the product saying it fit.

They pushed me to special order a dress charged me $40 for it plus rush charge. A couple of months later a month before my wedding they forgot to order me dress. Not what a bride wants to hear

I picked up my bridesmaid dresses yesterday! :) They are GORGEOUS!!!! I love them! Each dress fits like it was made for my bridesmaids!! I'll only need to shorten two of them a bit. Thank you for all you help!!! :)

These salespeople promise you everything and then dont provide it in the end. They act as though you are asking the impossible if you are shopping with a budget under 1500.00 It was a bad experience and I would not recommend spending money or time at this rip off shop.

I just received my daughter's 8th grade graduation dress and I wanted you to know that it's absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for suggesting Custom Cut because the dress is a perfect fit. She is a rather difficult size and we almost always have to do alterations on her dresses. It was such a treat to have something fit right off the hanger!Thanks again for all of your help,Keri M.

You must have so many brides to help every day so you probably don't remember speaking with me & helping me with my wedding gown but I wanted to say a sincere, heartfelt thank you for all your effort. I spoke to you from Australia, originally wanted the Hampton gown but couldn't get my size so I chose the Auburn gown. I have recently had the gown altered & I wanted to let you know how happy I am with it. The first time I came in, I was excited and my measurements were taken to order in my dress. It came in looking an inch or so too short. My consultant measured it differently than the other "experts" did. Therefore, my dress came out to be shorter than I had perceived. I came back in and my consultant measured it again, she thought it was short just as I thought. The "experts" came out and measured it differently, but they weren’t there when I first took the measurements. My consultant did nothing to try and solve my problem, passing me down to two other employees I have never met. I guess one of them was the sales manager, who didn’t introduce herself. She ended up telling me they did nothing wrong on their side so they cannot compensate for anything. She ended up bringing me to tears. No apologies. The owner ended up calling me the next day and apologized for the way employees were represented and offered a refund for the hollow-to-hem. Truly the worst service I have ever encountered

Just pick up my dress yesterday and LOVE it! I'm so happy! Everything was perfect!!! I had a few changes made and was soooooo nervous that it would come it right. Thank You Whitney for making it such a great experience! Love the Gateway Bridal girls!

The reviews about poor customer service are right. I walked into the store yesterday to see if maybe I would take my daughter there to look for wedding dresses. I saw a bride crying. The staff was raising their voice and seemed like they were trying to get her out and not helping her at all. I walked out and will not bring my daughter here because if the staff treats a bride like that, I do not want my daughter to have problems that cannot be fixed. If they continue to treat people like that, they will lose future customers like me. What happened to the customer is always right?

I live in Az. and couldn't find a dress with sleeves that I liked here. I went to Utah to shop and went to LOTS of stores before Gateway. Gateway had an amazing selection of beautiful dresses. I wish I had gone there first. My experience was great, I made an appointment had a helpful sales person (Sara) and found my perfect dress!

Customer service is absolutely unacceptable.I wanted a bridesmaid dress for a 10 year old, but the store didn't have any for her to try on so THEY took her measurements and told us to get a smaller size than we normally would have gotten. We even said she hadn't worn that size in over a year, but THEY insisted she'd fit perfectly in it. We signed and ordered. Dress is way too small. Manager refuses to work with me and insists we are stuck with the dress. And she was not nice at all when she told us this. No refund and it was not cheap. DO NOT choose this place for any dress.**We ended up with an even more adorable dress we found online that was the exact same color for $50 at www.girlsdressline.com

I saw the negative review and wanted to say that it makes sense that returns would not be accepted by a high end boutique like this store. Not only did my bridal consultant have really good suggestions for customizations and accessories, but the dress fit great when it came in so there were obviously no problems with the measurements. I love my dress and I'm extremely pleased with my experience.

We ordered bridesmaid dresses here and my 10 year old daughter was told to get a size 8, when I questioned this, I was told "That's what she size measures at." I figured they knew their product - however the dress is 2 inches too small and can't be let out enough for her to wear without the chance of ripping the sides. They were unwilling to allow for returns - I was told, "You signed the form...it's your dress." Fortunately after the Mother of the Bride, who is paying for the dress, spoke with the manager they agreed to refund the purchase and let us return the dress.

I went to Gateway Bridal to find my wedding dress since my sister found hers there and had a great experience. Everything was perfect-- we found the perfect dress that needed some changes, and the staff was more than willing to help me make those alterations. The dress came last week and is everything I hoped it would be. Best wedding dress shopping experience ever!

We live in Mississippi and could not find ANY modest prom dresses anywhere. I am so glad we found this store online and purchased from them. My daughter loves her dress! It was by far the most beautiful dress of all her friends. Everyone kept commenting on it and she felt like a princess. The quality is top notch with many little details and layers of lining. On top of all that, it was also the most modest dress at the prom. We will always shop here now for formal dresses.

Sorry this is so late, but I wanted to thank you and your staff for your professional and kind assistance to me when I was preparing for my wedding last Spring. Everyone was so helpful and understanding. The garments themselves were beautiful and of such high quality -- quite a good value for the money!!
