The purpose of an Edward Jones office is to maximize the fees, commissions, charges, etc. paid by a client. Clients will be advised to buy high front end loaded mutual funds, get into a program called "advisory solutions", and continually re-balance so that there is always a turnover of funds and the fees keep coming in.
Statements are not straightforward and allows clients to see only that information that the "financial advisor" wants the client to see. Fees are hidden, and the EJ advisor will always tell you that he works for free, when in fact he/she is getting a portion of the fees charged for every transaction.
Honesty of the advisor is always questionable since their lively hood depends on how much money a client has in the account and how much buying and selling is going on and how much yield the fund charges.
Bottom line, go to a company such as Schwab or Vanguard for all your investment needs. You will be be much happier, I am.

Unfortunately the rating system in this website is flawed. The rating system should actually include honesty, integrity, customers best interest, satisfaction, etc. This adviser (as all Edward Jones advisers) give advice based on how much commission he will put in his pocket. High fees have eaten away a large portion of my portfolio. Transferred my entire portfolio out of Edward Jones to a different discount broker and find service better, advice is sound, reports are complete and understandable. Transferred all funds with $0.0 charges, re-balanced portfolio to include funds with lower expense ratios, no front end or back end loads. I am much happier with both my portfolio and my new financial adviser.
