Dr. Barry Smith entered into private cardiology practice in 1979. He joined South Denver Cardiology Associates in 2013. Dr. Smith was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and his medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin. After completing his internal medicine residency in Rochester, New York, he carried out his cardiology fellowship in general and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Colorado's School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. In addition to his private practice in Denver, he is a very experienced pilot and has been active in rural medicine for the last 30 years, seeing patients in several rural cities each month.Dr. Smith is happily married to his wife Audrey, and together they have five children and three grandchildren. He enjoys flying and riding motorcycles.
