Provided by YP.comAlta Moda has some beautiful dresses, but the staff need to work on their customer service. At my first visit, they were helpful because I bought a dress. I came back and bought a veil as well as jewelry. I am a physician, but didn't want to spend $5000 on a dress or $600 on a veil. Yet, when I went in there, I felt like they were treating me like a hoodlum. They actually tried to "pretty woman" me and sell me a bracelet that was clearly damaged for a discount (without telling me it was damaged). They also lied to me about the price of alterations. I was told when I bought the dress that alterations would be around $150. I met with a seamstress and was quoted $300. However, then my total was $450 out of the blue. The seamstress never told me throughout the process that it would be more than expected. Overall, I am not impressed with this place and would never refer somewhere here. They also ask you for pictures of your wedding, but clearly only post pictures of the people they want (aka "Utah brides").

Provided by YP.comI was highly disappointed by their service. I had called a day before to schedule an apointment and then I drove for hours out of town just to get there. When I arrived, they immediately had me fill out paperwork about my contact information. Then instead of helping me look for a dress, they sat me down and interviewed me about the reception site, caterer, honeymoon and other various issues that didn't seem relevant to a dress. I felt like they were just adding the dollar signs up in their minds when they asked some rather insulting questions about my finances and how expensive our wedding was. In the end, she finally asked me how much I was willing to pay for a dress. When I gave her an estimate, she wouldn't even let me try on the dress I had specifically drove out there for. I tried to ask again and she still wouldn't let me try on the dress telling me that she didn't want to get my heart broken. I felt very put down when they finally showed me to the door. I thought that trying on a dress would help them sell more. Maybe if girls were allowed to see how they looked in a dress, they'd be more prone to spend more. But apparently money is more important to them than service.
