My wife and I had the OB write a prescription to get the 20 week anatomy scan for our pregnancy. We were in the scanning room for 45 minutes or so and the scanning technician was very friendly. She worked as a scanner both here and at a local hospital. We paid cash because it was less expensive out of pocket than messing with our insurance. We both really liked the service. This was in 2012. I saw all the bad reviews and just had to share our positive experience.

The pictures were horrible.... just blurry blobs. They did let us come back 3 times to try again with the same results. Each time the person in the waiting room also had the same terrible results as us. Accuscan blamed it all on the babies but I suspect more is going on. We picked out a couple of worthless blurry blob pics... nothing like the advertisements and they printed them for us. Waste of time and money, don't bother.

You pay for a 8-10 minute ultrasound. They double book so it turned out being about 3mins. The pictures were horrible and blurry. I received one of a foot and another of what I think is a hand. And a profile picture even my doctor agrees is bad. Only positive is I did find out the gender. However with paying $60 and driving from Layton in the Snow.. I would have liked to have had the full time to watch our baby and receive the high tech pictures that you would have received from a doctors office. Next time ill just be patient and wait the month for my doctors apt. Lesson learned. These people are just out for your moneyn
