Thursday morning (03/18/10) I contacted American Door & Glass and spoke with an associate (Doug) about getting three commercial store front doors for my business in Roanoke. I gave him measurement, color and decription of what we were looking for. Doug told me he would call back on Friday (03/19/10) and we would go over the details as for when he could get started and how much we were looking at. I never heard from Doug so I called back Friday afternoon (03/19/10) at 4:35pm. I was then told he would call me back on Monday (03/22/10). I explained the imporatnce of my project and the timeline in which I had to get it started/completed. I was assured once again that he (Doug) would for sure call me back on Monday (03/22/10). I never heard from Doug on Monday so I call back on Tuesday (03/23/10) and asked to speak with a manager. The receptionist said we have several managers but asked the nature of my call so she could direct me to the right person. After hearing my complaint she transferred me to the Vice president of American Door & Glass. I assumed I would definitely get something done now in speaking with the VP. WRONG! As it turns out the Vice President was the same person I had already been talking to (Doug). He confirmed that he was the person I had already been talking, began laughing and asked me "what else do you want me to do"? So I can only imagine what kind of service this company's associates are out there giving when their own VP is encapable of returning a phone call and following up on a job request.

I myself am a manager for a large company that delivers service to 2 -3 hundred customers throughout Virginia and North Carolina every day and whenever a customer service issue arrises I feel it is up to me or my management team to correct the problem. I/we hear the customer out, empathize and put an action plan in to place to resolve the problem and at NO time would we ever laugh at a customer while talking to them.

Needless to say; although my company is opening up several locations in the Virginia area and we will be in need of more commercial store fronts/doors, I will NEVER use AMERICAN DOOR & GLASS nor would I recommend them to anyone expecting quick service and good customer car.
