I went in to look at coverstitch machines since they carry several brands. I was pushed towards the babylock. Being a long time Bernina lover I asked how it compared to the Bernina CS. Salesperson said he would have to go check the computer. He came back with no info on the Bernina, just that the babylock was a far superior machine (mind you they carry both Bernina and Babylock). I asked what the cost difference was and was told that the Bernina was way more expensive. Come to find out, after talking with Judy at Bernina Stretch and Sew in Keizer, the Bernina CS runs $1199 retail and I was quoted $1699 for a babylock CS at Rich's! I wonder if Bernina knows they are throwing them under the bus! It would have been really nice to be able to try out both brands but, I was never offered the chance!

I went to the store looking for a machine part for my old singer. This nice young man was very helpful and I left with the part I was looking for.

Dishonest in their representation. Manager never attempted to resolve problem. Never returned calls by Corinne C - 01/02/2014I went to the Eugene Store. I was talked into upgrading a to a better Serger which I bought. I was moving in a few days to Portland and I didn't know if I was going to be moving out of state. The woman, Lindsay, who was new to the store said i should get a warranty. I asked her several times and had her ask her boss if my machine could be serviced anywhere in any state. She assured me that it could. Well i went to Montavilla in Portland and they said that it could only be serviced by Rich's and that they should have given me the Gold Guarantee, which by the way I paid for because the Gold Guarantee is $300 which is what I paid. When I tried to resolve this problem, Daniel who said he was the manager or owner totally blew me off. Montavilla said this happens often. Rich's is a very shady and dishonest business.I would not trust them at all.Also I called The Better Business Bureau to lodge a complaint and I am not the first complaint of the year.

I had my Bernina 440 serviced here and it was damaged. The damage was found when I changed dealers for the next servicing. They also did not fix the bsr problem that I specifically mentioned to them. I have been a Bernina owner for over 20 years and have NEVER had an issue with servicing before. I will not be going back to this shop. I will take my servicing to the Keizer Stretch and Sew Bernina shop.

My mother-in-law's Eureka had a broken belt. She took it in and was quoted $100.00 to repair it and was invited to consider purchasing a new vacuum. She brought it to me and, after purchasing a new belt for $3.00, I was able to replace it in 5 minutes. Based on this experience I cannot recommend this business.
