It was a great pleasure working with Roger Dodd the sale representative, was excellent. I was buying a used vehicle and was treated like a customer buying a new vehicle. Roger worked on the sale with professionalism and processed the paperwork with integrity. Was a great pleasure working with the finance officer Lemont had all the paperwork in order and walked through the process to complete the sale. Would buy from St. Charles Automotive in St Peters again and will refer other if they say they are looking to buy a vehicle.

St. Charles Hyundai tells Sonata owners that they must submit a complete record of the vehicle’s maintenance history before making a warranty claim—even though it knows that Sonata engines fail regardless of owner maintenance and that the faulty rotating assembly is responsible. For those warranty claims that are submitted, Hyundai’s practice is to deny them based on inadequate maintenance records or improper maintenance.

I want to share my experience for those like me who feel safer about buying from a dealer. St. Charles Nissan will make you feel extra confident because of their “thorough 30-point inspection.” But when I took my newly purchased pre-owned vehicle to a mechanic, he found significant problems that will cost well over $1,500 to repair. I’m okay with catching up on maintenance, but fluids are checked with any inspection. Why then was my car’s transmission fluid black? The transmission also has a leak. When my mechanic and I spoke to the sales manager at Nissan, it was just past the 30-day lemon law, but he stated even before the 30 days they would have done nothing. So either my vehicle was not checked or the dealer deliberately deceived me, and this is the way they do business. Those are strong words, but you be the judge.

While the Used Car that we purchased was in good condition I gave a low score for extremely poor customer service and failed promises

I was promised a second set of keys/ key fob, and after over 20 calls back to my sales rep and three months I never received the promised 2nd set of keys.

Even speaking with management did not improve responsiveness or get the end result that I was looking for.

I would not recommend this dealership

UPDATE:

I have since been contacted by an account rep from St. Charles automotive and thus have had a better overall experience.

It was unfortunate that the sales rep that I was working with did not subscribe to the high standards of St. Charles Automotive, corrective actions have since occurred.

I would now recommend checking out this dealership for new/used cars

St Louis Metro Nissan Dealers

They had, of the three dealers I went to, the best selection. The other two dealers didnt keep very many of any one model on the lot. I was ready to buy a car and wanted it that day. I was pleased that these guys had a couple different models some fully loaded some not. Very nice people and a good price. They did a nice job of getting my paperwork knocked out pretty quick too, lets face it this fun and you are ready to get the heck out of the dealership to drive!
