I bought my car from Pappas Toyota back in March of 2016. It has been a good car so far. Well, today I was driving and my front left tire/wheel was shaking a lot.....too much to safely drive. I had it towed to Pappas from Creve Coeur. I thought it was going to be a long wait because they were busy. I also thought that I was going to have a few hundred dollar bill. Well, as it turned out the car was ready in about 1/2 hour and they said it was a minor adjustment and there would be NO Charge. I went from having a bad day to being extremely happy. I highly recommend this dealership and service department.

Dropped my vechicle off for service at 8am for a 9am appointment. Service department advised service would take about an hour. I advised them that I need the vehicle back by 11:30am. I show up at 11:30am and vehicle was not completed. I would advise anyone to NOT use Papas Toyato for their service needs as they do not care about your schedule even when provided with ample time to complete the work.

These guys totally dropped the ball. I was at Pappas Toyota for an oil change and tire rotation before my son takes his car to college. Pappas said we needed a battery, but they were pricey so I took it to NTB in St. Peters. As NTB was checking in the car, they say I need two new tires. They show me and there is heavy wear on the inside of the tire almost to the belt. Pappas Toyota said nothing about it when I was there just hours before. They put my son in danger by not doing their job. Thank goodness for NTB otherwise my son would have most likely had a blowout on the highway. Pappas did discount the price of the tires due to the warranty but that still does not excuse putting my family’s safety at risk.

FYI, they did give me a list of 4 other items that they said needed to be done that were not under warranty. They may think about focusing more on safety and less on sales.

This place is the worst ever!!!!! I bought a car from them several months ago and still can't get it registered because it won't pass inspection. They saw me coming and took advantage of me. I couldn't do a test drive because they said it wasn't inspected. I was desperate and they saw that. They had to tow the car to my house. RIP OFF, RIP OFF, RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bait and Switch! Half - price is a 3 year lease. They'll call it a "price quote" in their online chat with you, and then make you drive 80 miles round-trip to tell you it is a three year lease.

STAY AWAY! Second visit to de...

STAY AWAY!

Second visit to dealership (sometime 2010): complained of clicking noise.

4/2012: Complained of clicking noise still happening when braking and turning right. Found a hole in my tire which was patched. Still heard click, they said everything was fine.

6 or 7/2012: Came in because noise still there. Ended up saying it was a problem, paid money to have it fixed. Drove out of dealership with noise still there- returned and had mechanic come in car to hear it. He heard it as well. Was told that "since you have 61k on your car it's not covered by warranty even though you've had the problem for awhile we can't give you a 100% refund-also because you used a voucher from a class action settlement- we will give you credit instead for you voucher and 50% credit towards cash paid on the service". Was told that Paul, service manager would contact someone from Toyota to look at my car the next month when they came in town.

I purchased new tires this last thursday (11/15) and was also inquiring about the issue that started back in April. When I had a June service appt I was told that I would get a call in July about the Toyota rep coming in a looking at my prius....well October rolled around and still no call despite a visit in september to get a quote on tires. On thursday I went in to specifically get tires with Paul (who actually initially misquoted my tires by $75 on the phone- I am glad that I kept the quote that was given to me by Darren). I asked if he ever found when the rep was gong to be in since I had talked to him two weeks earlier and he said that he would call me as soon as he knew when the rep would be in for October and November. Ironically, the rep had just left the building! I couldn't believe it. He said he would call the rep and have him come back. I received a call a few hours later and Paul said "the rep just got her can you come down here". I told him that I would be there as soon as I could and I arrived at the dealership in less than an hour. THE REP HAD LEFT. I was upset and Paul offered to have the mechanic drive my car because when the rep had actually looked and driven my vehicle he could not reproduce the clicking noise. I could no longer hear the noise, but since the mechanic never put his seatbelt on while we were driving it was beeping so loud I am not sure we would have heard through the loud beeping. I paid and left. There was a bunch of yellow markings on the from of my car that were likely secondary from being in the shop, and the mechanic said they forgot to wash the outside. They reassured me it would only take 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I walked outside and asked the guy who was washing my car why it wasn't ready. He replied, " I was told this was a drop-off, Ill finish it now". 15 minutes later I got my car, making a total of 45 minutes. THEY LEFT MY CAR RUNNING THE ENTIRE TIME THROUGH THE CAR WASH FOR 45 MINUTES. My battery indicator had one bar! I can't believe they were going to leave my car running and just wait for me to pick it up that evening. I actually thought I had a painless transaction and then something totally stupid like this happened.

The only person there who was helpful was Patrick. He is the one who came forward and said that the Toyota rep was in the building this morning- I don't think Paul was even going to tell me. I also saw him interact with other customers and seemed very honest and upfront. I have given them multiple attempts after filing a complaint with the BBB in 2010 after they actually gave me a different car than what I ordered (the salesman who sold it to me either resigned or was fired). I will NEVER return to this dealer and will be passing the word on about the terrible experience that I have received from them time and time again. An email has already been sent to Toyota about this chronic problem with the customer service here, which is unbelievably poor.

Worst dealership I've ever bee...

Worst dealership I've ever been to. Found a van they had listed on line. Called Tony G to work out a price over the phone since I live 100 miles away. We agreed on a price and he assured me it was a done deal since I told him I didn't want to drive all that way for nothing. Took off work early drove down and he raised the price 1000.00 And the van was in no condition to drive with the windshield shattered. Hail damage which they failed to list on line. Needless to say didn't buy van and will never buy anything from Tom Pappas Toyota. Wish I could give less than 1 star.

The truck probably was up north, the winters and salt are brutal on all the cars and trucks from there. We see alot of damage done from rust on these vehicles no matter what make or model they are. I will say the toyota trucks i see that stay in missouri dont have this rust problem. Too bad you missed out on the 15 year buy back program. Look at it this way that truck is 16 years old, what other company would stand behind a 16 year old product , hell most cars and trucks only have 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty.

I own a 1996 Toyota Tacoma. My mechanic had told me about a month ago that my frame was cracked in half and is very dangerous. About a week later had called to say it might be in a recall. I took my Toyota to Pappas Toyota and spoke with Mark Trent the Service Manger. He told me "You truck is more the qualified to be bought back." "This is the worst rusty frame we've seen at this location." "Toyota will give you $7282 for your truck and a free rental until you check comes." "You've just hit the lottery." I left happy as can be in my rental. Then the next day Toyota Corp called and said that I must return my rental and there is no deal, my truck has passed the 15 yr limit. Toyota had never contacted me when they did this "buy back", turns out this "buy back" started in early 2008. I have a receipt from Pappas Toyota from March 2009 when I bought parts there. They had never bother to say anything about it when I was there!!
