Michelle Wylam Frederick is the owner and founding attorney of Wylam Law, PLLC. Michelle earned her Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota (she can be a bit of a nerd so she finished her undergrad studies in just 3 years) where she focused her studies on Child Psychology, Youth Studies, and Sociology: Law, Criminology and Deviance. In addition, she has received her Family Law Facilitative/Hybrid Mediation Certificate from the Hamline University School of Law Dispute Resolution Institute and has completed Parenting Consulting Training through the Mediation Center and Hamline University School of Law Dispute Resolution Institute. Michelle isn't just about the law, studying and books (but she has been known to read up to a book a day!) She grew up in Little Italy Chicago, where Mama Tish's Italian Ice was a staple, and Oak Park, IL, where she learned the value of old homes thanks to Frank Lloyd Wright, before landing in the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes. She tries to keep herself well-rounded and balanced (and not just in her yoga practice) and help her clients do the same. Michelle lives in South Saint Paul with her daughter Lexi, her German Shepard, Snickers and a host of foster dogs. When not working in her office she enjoys working on her hot rod (she can do a lot more than change her own oil), going to car shows, coaching gymnastics, golfing, snowboarding and trying just about anything that sparks her interest.
