A friend told me to never try to eat downtown before a concert at the Xcel Center. They said they once waited over an hour for food, and when they got it, it was cold. My friend obviously did not go to Tom Reids. My wife and I got a table right as another couple was leaving, and ten minutes later we were eating our burgers. This was within an hour of the concert. The burgers are a little big, I recomend splitting an item. I will definately be telling my friend that she was dead wrong. There is one place downtown with fast pre-concert service.

The food was good, but the service was the worst I have ever seen! The servers were more interested in huddling around the register talking with each other than helping customers. Everyone at the bar was having the same problem. We had to flag someone down to order, for additional drinks, and eventually to get our tab and get out.

Used a $50 gift certificate for a $30 dinner - they offer no cash or gift certificate dollars in change. They simply keep the rest.
