BUYER BEWARE. The sales people are great until the purchuse is made then you are on your own. Have owned my car now for 3 months and nothing but problems. The biggest problem i have with this place is they have no customer service. I MEAN NONE. It is honestly like we sold you this crap car now just keep spending money here and we will not stand behind anything. I honestly have never been treated with such disregard. i am currently getting rid of my car that I love just so i dont have to deal with this company. I would highly suggest if you really want a VW go elsewhere. I even met with John Schmeltz himself, and that was no better. I can promise you that neither myself or anyone i am assoicated with will ever buy from this place. I have many years of car buying left in me and in a business centered around customer service this place has FAILED. BUYER BEWARE !!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

After buying and servicing FOUR Saabs exclusively at this dealer I am shocked at the dismissive and uncaring attitude from both the service manager and owner. Despite the car likely having the service issue when they sold it to me their approach to my concern had been snotty and accusatory. I did get a begrudging offer of a small service discount and a cheerful offer to SELL me an extended warranty. Shocking way to treat a long term and highly profitable customer. Appalling.

Great dealer. Great communication. I live 850 miles from this dealer where i purchased a low milage saab. The transaction was excellent and was easy over phone and email. The vibration from shipping the car a long distance caused the car to be delivered with the check engine light illuminated. The sales staff and owner quickly resolved the issue and the car is awesome!!

Terrible dealer!!!! Do not take your car there for service

We brought in our new Jetta for its free scheduled maintenance last week, right after picking up the car we had the TPMS light on. I filled the tires back up with air and the next morning one was flat. I took the car back to the dealer and they told me that the tire was punctured and they wouldn't fix it, but they would sell me another tire for $260. They put 7 miles on the car while they had it for an oil change and tire rotation so there was plenty of distance where the tire could have picked up something. I tried to call the general manager who happens to be the owners son. He wouldn't even give me the respect to return my phone call. Some way to treat a customer who has bought 2 new cars from them.

I took my passat in to schmelz where it was purchased for routine things like oil changes and tire rotations and it always came back with more problems, it's worth it to drive to inver grove Volkswagen for your repairs.
