I had a tough time chosing which star rating to give this company for a few reasons. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at 3 rather than the 2 I was juggling with... I do believe that they can do great work and I think that the owner Chris is a great man who probably does very well in customer service, when he does the job...



I used to refer him for my customers and at times I still wish I could because he really did leave an impression on me giving me a blind faith that I could refer his business to all of my customers and they would all be satisfied to the best of his abilities. This was the case initially, my customers were so thankful that I referred them to him, one even gave me a hug. Why? Because of his outstanding customer service, rates and ability to please. However shortly after those reviews came the 2 bad ones from customers urging me to stop referring him altogether to save my own name. I took these reviews with a grainof salt knowing how hard customer service can be, not everyone is pleased. I figured I would see if I received another and then call...



Well soon a good friend and former co worker was moving and she called upon Robinson Moving Systems. On the day of the move he never showed, she called and called and when she was finally able to connect with him she was told that they had over booked themselves and couldn't move her. This was already after difficulty setting up the appointment which I later understood was personal business, in which I can understand however it is still a business that needs to be kept running.



His not showing up was sort of a blessing in disguise as she had called me crying and unsure of what to do and I sent my then unemployed (had been laid off in the hard times) husband to help her move. She was able to see his amazing work ethic and shortly after hired him on at the apartment complexes she moved on to. Th unfortunate thing for Chris is that this happened and she had moved on to the largest apartment complex in New Brighton where with his great rates I am sure she could have brought his plenty of business. I have also stopped referring Chris, until honestly today when I had a customer who is running in to really hard times ask me for a moving company she could use. I know with her rough times right now that Chris would be one she could afford and I am hoping (fingers crossed) that he will take care of her.



However then I started to see all of the reviews, he has many great reviews by many happy and satisfied people. I was however appaled by the responses from Chris to the people who did not leave the best reviews. Some like the guy with the messy house (dog feces) I can see where he would uphold his name and need to say a quick response. However businesses are not perfect and will receive lousy reviews, businesses will also run in to dissatisfied customers for really no good reason. However the average consumer with 1/2 a brain knows this and can see past that with the "other 500 5 star reviews". If I had not met you I would be turned off from this company right there knowing that if something had gone wrong in the move you would be quick to place the blame on me rather than taking accountability in some instances. Occasionally things happen and as an average consumer I would like to see that when you make mistakes you own up to them and apologize rather than write them off as not your fault and redirect people to the other reviews.



I hope I hear a great review form the customer I just referred to you as I would love to be able to begin referring you again. I receive a minimum of 2 requests per month for a moving company in which others have been receiving my recommendations. I am confident that you could do great work and I am pleased to see your rates are very fair. However I am very worried to recommend your company as I do not need to tarnish my name as well.

Last week the owner and his wife came out to look around and give an estimate. We apologized for the mess, we have pets and it shows. He said it was no problem, that he had dealt with worse. He committed to helping pack today and moving us tomorrow. Him and two guys came out today, the day before the move, and decided to refuse the job because of the mess (which he had seen and made a commitment anyway). This has left us on our own when we need to move tomorrow. When I let him know I'd be leaving reviews of his business online he said he was going to have his cps worker report our mess, retribution won't go far with the county. Do yourself a favor, hire professionals, not these clowns.

Yes, we went out to the home for an estimate and booked the job with the family under the assumption that they were going to start packing and they would clean up the dog feces that was on the floor throughout the home and leading into their son's bedroom. When we arrived on the day of the move, nothing had been done and we felt that putting our employees at danger of health risks was not in the best decision of this company. At no point, saying that calling CPS was retribution for writing a review. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. We are a professional moving company and have moved over 2500 people since our opening. We have an A standing with the better business bureau. If you need to see positive reviews, please go to MovingHelp.com and review all the 5 star reviews (over 800 of them). Unfortunately we can't please everyone but we try hard.

I contacted Robinson Moving Sy...

I contacted Robinson Moving Systems for an initial estimate. He responded promptly to my inquiry and we set up an appointment. He was on time for the appointment and able to go over the details with me concerning the upcoming move. No issues with corresponding via email to answer questions I had regarding the move. The issue came with moving day. When the movers had not shown up an hour after the scheduled time I called Robinson Moving Systems and got their voicemail. My call was returned about 30 minutes later. I was informed that I was the second job the movers had neglected to show up for and the owner would be unable to come for at least another 4 hours. He directed me to a website to find a moving company that might be able to come immediately. Although this company has received hundreds of positive reviews (and I'm sure they do good work if they show up for the job) for my experience they only added stress to an already stressful task.
