Best rental car experience ever! I am a business traveler and frequently rent cars. First time I have ever used national and it was top notch. Clean vehicle, nice selection in the Emerald Aisle. Forgot my phone in the rental and they notified me that it was missing. A colleague happened to call my phone and the return inspection employee answered the phone and let them know I had forgotten my phone. Will be my first choice from now on.

Car was dirty inside and outside. I could see the
Soap residue on the windshield, side mirror and body of the car. Even the carpet haven't been vacuum. The car a ford has 30000 miles on it and it drives sloppy. There was no other selection avail at the emerald aisle except SUv. I paid $100 for this rental for 3 hours. Return it within 3 hours.

As with most car rental agencies, they have not figured out how to clean the inside of the front windshield. This is not rocket science. Also the side windows were dirty from the previous rental. The arm rests, too. Not very easy to see a lot of this in a parking garage, but it all becomes clear in the light. Clean it up National.

Never returned a call or e-mail concerning lost item. My mistake, left the item in the car but would at least expect better service telling me at least they couldn't find. On hold for well over an hour and no one ever responded. Several e-mails and calls to customer service with no response. Simply unacceptable from a customer service perspective.

The rental started off a little shaky with the attendant unable to find the keys to the car I reserved. But she was able to find the keys to another Mustang. So all was forgiven,the Mustang was great I loved it made the trip fun. The return process was quick and easy. All and all I gave them four stars

I always use National when I travel. It's so convenient, just walk to the cars, bypassing the counter, and pick one. I only gave three stars for selection because sometimes, like last week, there are very few cars from which to choose. But if there are no cars I get to choose an upgrade at not additional fees. I love National's service, in and out in no time!

The Emerald Isle works very well. There was no haste in checkout or check-in. The mid-size vehicle was excellent and up to date with equipment. Checkout and check-in people were efficient, but personable. Including taxes and fees, the car cost about $80 a day. This was exactly what
National told me in advance that it would cost.

A total disaster,

Very rude employees, I felt like I was bothering them, waited on the check out lane for over 25 minutes. National needs to seriously review their customer service practices and recognize the main contributer, The Customer. I will definetly go out of my way next time so I do not have to rent from this company, even if it cost me more money.

This was truly the fastest, easiest, and most reasonable experience I've had, thus far, when renting a car. Having done everything online prior to our trip, made picking up a car painless. A few minutes checking in with an agent, out to the parking area and I was told to pick any vehicle with a trunk open...and returning the car was just as easy! I'll definitely be using National!

First let me tell you I use National religiously and very seldom have a problem. The MSP airport National Car Rental positioning is terrible. I had to wait in line to leave the lot for at least 45 minutes. There were three lanes going into one booth to get out. They finally did get another person to help check out, but it was horrible. When returning my car I could not even get in the lane to drop it off they were full. I had to park it by a pillar in the parking garage and leave it there. Very disappointed in the MSP National location.

Made a reservation and I am a member of Emerald Club. Had to wait 30 minutes since there were only minivans or trucks ready. Was expecting a mid size car but had to go with a SUV. The SUV was very nice.

I like National and use them as my standard rental car company. I had an experience like others, as I see from previous ratings. When I got there, there were countless SUVs and no cars that wouldn't have required an upgrade to a more expensive rate (I was not offered a free upgrade even though an Executive member). I don't think I have ever seen this at a car rental before. Service was good. I talked to an agent and within about 10 minutes they were able to bring a sedan up that we rented. The rest of the process went fine.

I'm an Emerald member. When we went to go get a car the selection was 90% SUVs or very large cars . . . both of which are big gas guzzlers. Also, if you have a corporate contract for a reduced rate, and even have the confirmation of that reduced rate, they charged us TWICE the amount when we turned the car in. The response to fix this error has been tremendously slow and time consuming. Will not use again.

This was one of the worst place I have used to rent a car. We had to walk all over the place to find it and then the only thing they had was trucks and mini vans. After finding someone 1o min later they came up with a car from their share company. When returning the car we put the info in our GPS and it took us to terminal 2 return not terminal 1 cause it doesn't recognize terminal 1 on the map. I would had been ok with that but it seems like everyone who was returning that morning had the same problem. Now when we got to terminal 1 we follow the signs and end up going to another rental place cause the signs was pointing straight ahead and not take a left. I'm just saying this is not what I'm used to from National. (MSP AIRPORT)

Arrived and they only had 3 cars available, all minivans. I tried to ask if they had anything else and the first attendant could not speak English the second person yelled at me "what you see is what we got"

This was my second trip in as many months where National had "run out of cars". I find it difficult to understand how you can run out of cars when you know days or weeks ahead of time how many people have reserved cars with you and you know what time those people will be arriving. Selection was nil since, even though I am an emerald club member, I was not given a choice of cars. I had to take the next available one. After waiting 30 minutes I just wanted to get out of there.

I received emails and notifications to use the virtual check out and and check in for my car, but neither of those worked and I ended up having to go thru the normal processes.

Bottom line is, no choice in cars because National ran out of cars (again), The agents in the parking area were abrupt and rude, and none of the services that National said I could use to make things quick and easy worked.
