Provided by YP.comI hired Mr. Charles Willis in Dec 2007 to file a uncontested divorce. There where no children born of the union and no property to divide. My husband and I had been living in separate domiciles for almost 2 years. A money order was sent to him to pay the full amount of service within a week of our phone agreement. After receipt of the money order I received the Petition for Dissolution on 12 Dec 2007. I brought the documents back to the United States since I was coming home for Christmas. I'm active duty stationed in Europe. The documents where received in Mr. Willis' office by 7 Jan 2008. I called approx. 8-12 days later to find out if everything was signed properly and ready to be filed. I was told that Mr. Willis had a funeral to attend. I called back approx. 1 week later and Mr. Willis told me that he would be taking my documents to the court office to file them that week. He also said that MO. has a 30 day wait once petition is filed before a court date will be set. I contacted Mr. Willis on 5 March 2008 to ask about my divorce petition. He told me that he had not filed my documents because he needed my husband's signature on another form. In almost 2 months no one in his office could call me to tell me that I was missing something IF in fact I really was missing it. I believe that my documents where out of site out of mind and Mr. Willis formulated a lie to cover for his error. I still do not have the document that he stated would be emailed to me. I have now requested to receive a refund of my money. I wanted the service that I promptly paid for completed in a timely manner. If there was a problem I should have been notified before 2 months had past.
