Couldn't set up a microphone

I used TKO at my wedding and the DJ I had met with and spent my time planning with did not show up at my wedding instead I got a DJ who knew absolutely nothing about me and less about DJing. He was unable to hook up his mic where someone else had one, he missed the dollar dance and didn't clearly announce anything. My guest and myself where often confused about the announcement or people just didn't hear him at all. Only two of my guest heard about the cake cutting and some of my guest gave me dollars to dance and asked why he hadn't announced the dance. My suggestions are that you send the DJ that meets with the couple and you train them in how to hook up microphones and how to do announcements. The DJ was supposed to the MC not the bride.
