Provided by YPmobileI had a great service performed by Tara at the skin institute. I have never had a facial or microderm abrasion. I will be returning.

Provided by YP.comI graduated from the Skin Institute a few months ago and I agree with Anon30. The Missouri State Board require 40 hours of sanitation, you end up doing much more than 40 hours. The class ends at 2:30 every day and you have 30minutes (every day) to clean up everything, even the teacher’s bathroom. I think they try to kill time and get you out of there as soon as possible so they can have the next “$13,000 student”. They ask that you clock in 8:45am, when the class only starts at 9:15 or later. You have about 1:30 to 2 hours of lunch and breaks. You will graduate with 900 hours. However, you will have a lot empty hours

Provided by YP.comI LOVE the SKIN Institute! The staff is always welcoming and treats you like family. They never offer services with high pressured sales tactics. All of the services I've tried there have been extremely relaxing. I've visited other medical spas and esthetic schools in the area but none compared to the SKIN Institute. I highly urge you to try their services especially when they host their Rx Peel events which are offered about every 9-10 weeks and normally around $10.00!

Provided by SuperpagesThis place is a Joke. The girl who gave me a Service was under so much pressure because of her instructors trying to make her sell product for them. Come on Skin institute are you for your girls learning or using them to clean your office and sell product for you? She told me all about the School & she finished her training elsewhere. she was smart enough to leave and If you are seeking schooling, don't go there, run. One of the young girls she said was an instructor was wearing yoga pants with a t-shirt and texting on her cell phone the whole time i was in the front. She was very unprofessional. I mean comb your hair and apply a little makeup, this a business and you call yourself a instructor you should look the part, it's very unprofessional. I personally would never recommend this school or the services to anyone. Very unpleased with the school, but not the student. I felt sorry for her that she had put up with any of that and for that I give her and only her all the stars.

Provided by YP.comRun don't walk from this school! When I came in to view the school I was thoroughly impressed and completely charmed by the staff and owner, Victoria, and felt that by going to an esthetics-only school I would be receiving the best education and the title would carry more weight in job interviews. I could not have been more wrong. Once I handed over my $13,000, I became income and the cleaning service to them. If you are not bring them clients and selling products you are of no use to them and are made very aware of it. In retrospect, Xenon International Academy in Ballwin would have been a far better choice and I highly recommend them.

Provided by SuperpagesI was a first time client at the Skin Institute. My "basic facial" was advertised as one hour at $35. My actual facial was about 40 minutes long and $40. My esthetician was very pleasant, knowledgeable and skilled. I did feel as though she was pressured to sell the products that they have available. My only complaint was the time/price discrepency and the "implied pressure sale."

Provided by SuperpagesThis school is the only school to consider when wanting to get the best training in skincare. The instructors are the best trainers in the Midwest. We learned equipment, product ingredients, treatment protocols and medical aesthetics. The skincare clinic is the most exceptional value in skincare treatments available in St Louis. The small class size allows for alot of individual attention. Trainers come from all over the country to do special advanced training programs for the students at Skin Institute.
