I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Scotts. I was with them for a little over a year. Last year I had a fairly nice lawn. There were some issues. But I had grass! This year (after a full contingent of Scotts services) I have almost no grass left and the grass left is either dying or dead. I emailed Scotts when I began to notice the problem. There was no response. So I called and left a message. Eventually I was informed that a technician would stop by. No one came. Finally I saw a technician in a neighbor's yard. He assessed that I had a fungus on the front lawn and too much shade in the back. This was the first I had heard of the shade being an issue. (It wasn't last year.) What kills me is that Scotts had treated my neighbor's lawn for fungus a week earlier. And they couldn't even bother to treat mine at the same time? Or to inform me that fungus was a problem? But that didn't stop them from calling me to try to get me to buy their service for bug spray (Ortho) and other things I DIDN'T need. They advertise: "Don't leave your lawn to someone who just sprays it and moves on. Instead, rely on Scotts LawnService to monitor your lawn all season long, carefully evaluating its progress during every visit and adjusting your customized program as needed." But clearly they DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH.
