Schlafly redefined beer by creating the craft movement in St. Louis in 1991. From day one, our founders challenged the status quo with a diverse collection of flavorful styles brewed in small batches with traditional recipes and methods. For years beer lovers have relaxed in our classic pubs with a pint and a bite to eat. Today Schlafly Beer continues to celebrate our legacy of authentic high-quality brews and hospitality at the historic Schlafly Taproom! We take our position as the first new brewery to open in STL since Prohibition very seriously. The Taproom has been and always will be a community brewpub for friends and neighbors to gather & enjoy a pint. While the majority of our brewery operation has moved to our Bottleworks location the Taproom still brews a very select 2,000 barrels per year.
