Extremely slow service. Rude management. Dirty tables. Inaccurate orders twice in one visit. Overall, I'm never going back.

Yes...while the Pizza is OK…however at Racanelli's the manger John...in the Kirkwood location has both poor customer service skills...and even worse skills when it comes to health and food safety standards....

After ordering Pizza to go…...John tells me it will be 8 minutes while I wait with my wife and two young children at the table right in front of the kitchen. I see John take my order and my money...along with other customers...Then John steps to his right and starts to help make pizza...Forget the fact that John isn't wearing an apron so his cloths already are disgusting and gross...as he leans over to make the new pizza, his gross cloths are brushing up against the pizza… after watching him handle cheese and the dough... 20 minutes later I get up to see why they haven't called my name yet....It turns out that John the manager didn't feel it was important t tell his staff or write on the ticket that my family and I were waiting...So my pizza was just sitting there in the back…

I finally spoke up and asked him why I wasn’t called since my pizza had been done and I have been waiting… His response was “So”..He clearly didn’t care… Then I told him that I didn't feel that myself or the other customers would appreciate the fact that he didn't wash his hands in between taking money and handling the food...

His response was both ignorant and defensive...He said "I don't have to wash my hands because I am not handling food that is ready to eat... (Meaning the pizza is going to be cooked)....So I told him, that is not the standard for the food industry and I was going to contact the health department...John replied “Go ahead… who cares!”

Well I'll tell you who DOESN’T care...John the manager at Kirkwood...Hey John… here is a tip...good pizza doesn't mean you can dismiss good health and safety standards and good customer service…. So when people ask me now…I tell them where NOT to go….Racanelli’s

best pizza in town love this place

We were served bland pizza by an attitude-spewing young African American woman. She spewed attitude in her demeanor, speech, and facial expressions. Not only was our experience poor, the pizza was OVERPRICED for being so bland/plain.



This occurred at the Kirkwood location.

my favorite pizza in the city. Especially the cheese, single slice.
