Challenging course, nice fairways and greens for the most part, and some good deals out there.

The staff was very nice. That's about the only thing nice. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in horrific condition. It seemed wherever your ball landed in the fairway, you had to move it to a spot that had grass, or more likely a few green weeds. You were much better off if your ball landed in the rough. Greens were not very green either. We only played nine holes. $26 for nine holes on a weekday seemed way over priced for a course in this condition.

The worst golf course I have played --Ever. I play two to three times a week and have played at least twenty other courses in St Louis .They did not do anything right. Fairways are like concrete. Rough is weeds knee high. Cart paths have holes three feet in diameter .No drink service on a hot Sunday afternoon. Slow play,No marshals. Fire the greens keeper and turn on the sprinklers please.

Bring Extra Balls

Quail Creek is a good course, well maintained, but tougher than you think. It's not usually crowded: I've had little trouble just walking on after work. While it has some easy holes, many have become more challenging because they started out narrow and the trees and bushes grew in, making them extremely narrow, with some blind shots. If they would clean out the brush in the woods and by the creeks, you wouldn't lose $40 in balls per game, and spend an extra 30 minutes of play time looking for them. If you hook or slice off the tee, bring at least a dozen balls (or straighten it out on the driving range beforehand). Underneath the very short grass on some of the fairways is hard-packed dirt/clay, which makes for a disappointing 2nd shot after a good drive. Best to play after a good rainfall.
