I LOVE Pets in the City! (and Kramer, too) I shop here frequently for my dog and my three cats. In addition, I shop here for my clients. Pets in the City has dog and cat food that some other reviewers call "High end" but I feel that is somewhat derogatory. The food that Pets in the City sells is better for your pets because it is food that has been carefully sourced by the owners and staff for quality: quality protein sources, no additives or preservatives, no extra dye in the food, no extra fillers, quality carbs, raw diets if that's what you prefer. Many of the foods are grain free, novel proteins, or low in phosphorus (for kidney failure patients). They even have vegetarian food that is low in protein (also a plus for kidney failure patients).



They have quality toys for cats and dogs that don't fall apart in a week. Everything in this store is QUALITY, which means you might pay a little more BUT it's going to be healthier for your pet, or last longer. You get what you pay for you know.



Since Pets in the City moved from Soulard to Grand/44, it is closer to my house in Tower Grove South. The parking has never been issue for me. I simply park on Castleman and walk around the corner. No big deal. If I have a lot to carry back to my car, a staff member (even if it's the manager or owner) will offer to help me out to my car with my purchases. The staff has always offered help, even when they were located in Soulard - so this is nothing new. The staff has been great: helpful, knowledgeable; even comic relief at times. Kramer, the shop cat, can be a little sassy, but he's old so I let him get away with it. :-)



There is a bus stop right in front of the store, so if you are one of those wonderful people cutting down on oil use, you can rest assured that you can get to Pets in the City with ease. It's right off a major highway (44) as well.



I love supporting small businesses, especially a business like Pets in the City. I recommend them to friends, neighbors, and clients all the time.

Was looking for a lavender collar for my Australian Shepherd & went to all the different stores then I stumbled to this place! I was greeted @ the door & was offered immediate assistance. As I browsed around I fell in love w/the little store. Found what I was looking for & then some! I will go back for sure!!!

I love this store for a good selection of healthly pet foods and supplies for my dogs.. The people who work there are very helpful.

I absolutely adore this place. The people here are unbelievably pleasant and nice. The selection of premium, grainless food is awesome! Walking into this store you actually have many choices of healthy grainless foods!! I'm just sorry I didn't find this place sooner!! There is also a wide variety of supplements and vitamins for your pets if needed. LOVE love love this place!! I do not plan on ever going anywhere else. :)
